Hi,
Have only just read this and sorry to hear about it all and I do hope that sentencing goes ok in December, you should get a lot of credit for an early plea and everything. You don't mention if you've had any indication from the prosecution about whether or not they wish to pursue confiscation proceedings but I hope not as it's nasty stuff (I did fraud defence work for a few years so I understand how you're probably feeling right now).
Nothing you can really do now until sentencing (other than attend with probation if a PSR has been ordered and get together any personal references for mitigation if required), so try and stay positive.0 -
I really hope everything goes ok, I know that lending can sometimes spiral out of control. I don't think the Court is in the business of putting mother's of 5 in prison 4 days before Christmas. I think if its a 1st offence, maybe a suspended sentence and/or a fine.0

well a week to go till the crown court have to go to probation tomorrow for a psr. scared is not the word. the hardest part was getting everything sorted at home just in case i dont come home. its my daughters 17th birthday in jan and had to write her card out which broke my heart0

Good luck Susanne. You didn't make good choices but neither did you hurt anyone. I would hope that the worst you would get is a suspended sentence and at best a fine. My fingers are crossed for you.LBM August 2011. DFD somewhere post [STRIKE]2025[/STRIKE]2022

I've only just stumbled on this story - I do feel for you Susanne and I can't imagine how worried you must be, epsecially for the kids.
BUT, as a provi agent, you were getting commission for each of those loans you 'sold' - so you were making money on the back of this also, as you were an agent for Provi I'm not sure these people were really your friends or actually just customers - which throws up a whole load of questions around persuasion / vulnerable people etc etc. I'm not trying to be harsh but Provi gives loans at something like 300% apr, goes round people's doors to collect and tends to prey on the most vulnerable and broke in society - many of whom have poor levels of literacy and numeracy and difficulty fully understanding what they're signing up to and will rely on their agent to advise them...
I do be find it difficult to be that sympathetic about it all but I do very much hope you get probation and sort out your situation with your husband.0 -
I can't decide if this whole thing is genuine, or the work of a troll/spammer.Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.
