I honestly don't know I'm afraid, I've only ever done a door catch. I've only had one machine since then and that just died through drowning I think :)

    Are they hard to fit?

    It is a Hoover A3670 logic 1000.

Most just pop on and off almost, I have pulled one off by accident before.

I am sure if you asked them they would tell you how to fit them. I have bought from him before and he's great IMO! If that isn't suitable for yours he'll probably be able to get it, did that for me when a friends washer popped!
One day I might be more organised...........

Mine is from the ark but still runs, just got a rotten door seal:D

Might try a shorter cycle, think there is a short wash cycle - sorry to go on but the issue of how long a washing machine takes has bugged us for ages.

Thank you for the link lil_me:)

We had an American washer in the States and it took 30 minutes. Trouble is they are MASSIVE!

My current one takes 1 hour 10 minutes and has a hole in the seal of the door. It is 25 years old but works fine. Anyone know how to seal it up?

I got sooo fed up with it taking all day to do 4 washes and the fact that European machines wash in like an eggcup full of water and won't remove cat hair that I bought an American toploader. I've had it for 4 years and others I know who have them say I should get 20 years usage from it, so for just over £500 I think that's a bargain, yes it's huge but it has it's own corner in the gargage, and I can wash 2 bath sheets, 8 bath towels, 8 hand towels and a motly assortment of face cloths in once go. I wouldn't change back now.

Fastest wash (mini load size) 14 minutes

    Standard Everday Wash 28 minutes

Longest wash (with pre-wash) 45 minutes

    Things I like:

Using hotter wash water does not add any more time to the cycle
You can add items half way through the wash
    The load size is huge
You can wash pillows, huge duvets and sleepingbags easily
It removes lint, fluff and cat hair easily
You can turn the machine off half way through and let things soak
You can use the machine to soak/bleach whites etc and free up your sink

    Things I don't like:

    You need hot water available
    It uses loads of water
    You use more detergent
It spins at 600 rpm max
Heavy soiled clothes need more pre-treating to get them clean

I have a Hoover washing machine which is a couple of years old. Fastest cycle is 29 minutes, which I love as most of my washing is done on that cycle. Next is 44 minutes and then 59 minutes. You can set the temperature to what you want it to be.

My fastest wash is 32 mins at 30 degrees and does up 2 mins for every 10 degrees I go up. I use a whirlpool sixth sence washer, it has the minutes on it.

I have to agree mine is the same a whirpool sixthsense washer and only takes 30 min on quick wash at 30 degrees and can change the temp if wish. This also spins at 1200rpm and this can be changed too. I brought this nearlt 5 yrs ago when my hotpoint broke. It is great especially in the summer to not have to wait long for the kids clothes to be washed and put out to dry.
    Would definetley recommend.;)

My washing machine's an Indesit, and barring the near on 2 hrs it takes for a 40 wash it's fine, I hate having to put it on though especially if I've got more than one load, it takes all day to do 3 and drags on forever, I'm longing for a machine that does it in half the time but there's nowt wrong with the one I've got so it's gonna have to wait till it dies :(

MrJudi has very often turned my door seal round so that the hole was at the top instead of the bottom more than once. Try it, it might get a bit more wear out of your door seal.

I am on my second indesit and both have been great machines, ok it takes longer to wash but I use it on Econ 7 so its ready to hang out when I get up. If I use a shorter wash with a slow spin I set the machine to do an extra fast spin takes about 10 minutes but the clothes dry quicker. There is a daily wash which takes 30 minutes, I use it occasionally, mostly just before we go on holiday to wash clothes we have worn. The gunk on the roof of the soap draw will rub off with stardrops I I use a nail brush) and I put the powder tray into the dishwasher occasionally.

I wash whites on a 60o wash and coloureds on 40o ............never use the 95o wash my whites pass any inspection........in the days when I used nappies I used to boil wash but not now so for me its a waste......I could do with one that has only 3 or 4 programmes rather than the 15 that are on my present washer.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
