i have a miele my shortest wash is 30mins quick wash on 30 or 40 degrees, a standard wash takes a wopping 1.59 on a 30 but saying that cleans better than any machine i have previously had and the 1400 spin on it is good (bit im still finding drying hard combined with haveing no heating on)

I have Miele as well and have started to do all washes on "short" which takes 1hr 6mins. Never realised it took 1.59 until I checked the instuctions one day. I have not noticed a difference on short wash. i use quick wash for 1/2 loads and the 30 minutes is great.

Since moving house (after I posted my previous post) we have a dual fill thing, don't like it, 35 minutes is shortest wash (35 degrees) you can't change the spin speed or temp on that programme tho, oh and it squeaks.
One day I might be more organised...........
