Hello all. Oh dear, I get later and later getting online:( – though this morning I did take time out for Two Minutes Silence at 11:00.:o Probably sounds daft written down, since I'm at home on my own, with just silence anyway, but I'm sure you'll all get what I mean.:o I don't have any relatives to specifically think of, but I did work for the MoD for a time, and knew loads of people who did active service in various places, and just hope they're all still safe and sound.
FW Way to go – good result!:T Now you can get on with your lives in peace – that's grand news! I'm a great believer in karma – the universe will sort out the bad'uns in it's own good time.;)
Findingmyway welcome – sorry to hear of breakup with your BF; do join in here, you won't be lonely for long!
Lou how you doing today sweetie? Minus the headache, I hope. I'm going to grab some lunch when I've posted this – I'd be pleased if you'd join me.:o
Jannyannie oh no, sorry to hear that your Dad can't drive any more. Must be a blow for him.:( Oh, and healing vibes for the poor pudd'n-cat.
Mumto2boys welcome to you, too. I'm usually awake at 04:00, but unless I need the loo, don't bother moving til Mr LW gets up at 05:15. Mainly because I need his help to actually.... well, move!
Enjoy yourself here – it's a very friendly place.:o
Tappers how are you doing today, mate?
I need to dust the lounge today, but I simply can't manage to lift the large dragons at the moment, so I'll have to make do with dusting around them.:( Not a good situation, as I'm something of a perfectionist, and it'll bug me that they're not done “properly” iyswim.
As for dins tonight – supposed to be nut loaf with roast root veg, but if another dose of Oramorph doesn't make the pain in my shoulder bearable, I may have to have a rethink, as I didn't get Mr LW to prep the veggies for me in advance.
Ah well, onwards and upwards - must go and get that lunch I spoke about - Quorn and Brie sandwich and a much-needed caffeine fix.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Today we've been to DD2's school for the remembrance assembly. DD2 was chosen to read "In Flander's Field" It really brought a lump to my throat.
Toad in the hole (or as it's known in this house - Frog in a Bog) for tea tonight, and I've got a rice pudding in the SC, hope it works, I've never made it like this before.+++ Divide By Cucumber Error. Please Reinstall Universe And Reboot +++

That's not the first time I've heard you mention Dragons... Am I right in thinking you collect them? I only ask because I do too. We even had a Pocket dragon bride and groom on our wedding cake:D
The entrance hall is guarded by two matching Chinese Dragons, which are attached to a sort of archway bit as you come through the hall - there's a Green Man the other side of the arch.
I love the idea of the Pocket Dragon bride & groom, btw! We had a Pagan symbol, a special Celtic knot on our cake, which the lady who did the cake modeled on a brooch I have, and she made it out of string and sprayed it silver. I still have it somewhere.:o
The other thing I have lots of is - probably unsurprisingly - Wolves!:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all
Had my 2 minutes silence just as we got back from town - DS took DD in the house from the car and I sat and listened to the silence on the radio IYKWIM! Finally changed my FBK photo to something suitable for today - bit late, but will leave until after Sunday.
DH and I have ongoing problems with our 2 eldest children, esp DS1 - he can't tell us a straight tale, we keep getting letters and phone calls from debt collection agencies, etc., etc.... well, today his mobile bill came (he's had a couple of things changed to our address for some reason - getting suspicious now!) - £715 (incl nearly £300 from last month)!!!!!:mad::eek: He'd had bars put on so he couldn't ring premium numbers, etc., but he's removed them. I actually sat and cried I'm so cross with him - DH, DD and I have all tried to get him sorted out, but this feels like a thump in the face. _pale_
Sorry for the moan - feel so frustrated that we can't get through to him, or get him to tell us the truth. Think my food shopping tonight may include a small bottle of something to help me sleep!! :rotfl:

Yes I do; there's not a single room that doesn't have Dragons in - there's even one that lives out on the patio!:D I have Pocket Dragons in the bedroom, Myth & Magic Dragons all over the place (the heavy ones are of that type), and loads of various others, including a cross-stitch Earth Dragon that I did ages ago, and now lives on the bedroom wall.:o

Love all that:D Our wedding rings were made especially for us, they have a celtic knot going around them, my engagement ring has 2 trefoil knots either side of a blue topaz. I love wolves too, the mug I'm drinking my brew out of right now has a wolf on it:D
We went with the dragons as cake toppers because hubby was wearing a kilt, and we couldn't find any traditional bride&grooms wearing the right tartan. Not here in England anyway.+++ Divide By Cucumber Error. Please Reinstall Universe And Reboot +++

Got back from DD's gave DGD her lunch and have just popped her down for a nap.
SISTERCAS, OMG Your'e right about the mess, there's brick dust everywhere inside and out, I cleaned all sills, windows and doors outside and hosed the patio down, even had to brush off the bins. I cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom and vacumed throughout, dusted every surface. Even the skirting boards were covered, so a wash with Stardrops made the task easier. Phew I'm exhausted.
I'll tackle the bedrooms tomorrow as they aren't to bad.
I made DD a cheese omelette, bacon and mushrooms for her lunch. Baby hardly stopped crying all the time I was there, she is so full of cold which makes feeding difficult and takes so long. DD has dark circles under her eyes and looks fit to drop as she managed 2.5 hrs sleep lastnight, DGD woke at 5.30 this morning.
Did us all stuffed chick breasts, pots & roasted veg, another job ticked off the list.
Oh Great, a Police car just sped by with sirens blasting and now DGD has woken, must dash.0
