Finding my way - welcome - you'll find we're all slightly mad here but very friendly! DS1 got up at half five and let dogs out, but not outside, so puppy came to wake me up! He's now sat watching star wars (AGAIN!). Today have sitting room and bedrooms to blitz, also have to take duvets to laundrette.

Finding my way - where are you if its 3pm already? sorry, just being nosy. Hopefully we'll have a better day with DS1 today. OH due home this evening. Been watching The Jury all week - good drama.
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Been awake since 5am, got up at 5.30 in the end. Cat wanted out aasa usual. He then came back in, gulped his food and threw up in the sitting room! Good job we've got laminate flooring!:rotfl:

Lamb stew made yesterday for dinner today.

Well done FW now you can get on with life.

Hi to Findingmyway we are a very friendly bunch!

OH came yesterday, he's still asleep snoring! Got DGD's Xmas pressie yesterday from Very. A "Hetty" hoover and cleaning trolly. That's what DD said to get her. She has a kitchen from Mum & Dad and a washing machine from Nan and Grandad. Do you think we are trying to tell her something?:rotfl:

Hope you all have a good day.

  • Morning all

Have eventually found time to post and read todays thread. No idea what's been going on but big hugs to all who are having a rough time.

    Welcome Findingmyway .

Farmers wife good result, hopefully you can have some peace and move on

Grey and cold here this morning, have put the heating on for half an hour will turn it off in a mo. Today plan to clean Mum's house. Dad has been told he can't drive anymore so I have some running around to do as well. Then the cat has the vet for a check up as he has ripped all the ligaments in his back leg. He's on house rest and not impressed. House is fairly tidy, just have ironing and paperwork to do.

Tea tonight is HM pizza. Off to hang the washing out. Have a good day all.

    Morning Morning

    FW - sounds like a great result for you x x x

It's the weekend!! In two weeks time my holiday starts! It's also OH's birthday in 2 weeks time, so need to get a wiggle on with his present.

Scales have gone down again today :) see. I know how to lose weight, i just need the motivation, which i lack in the summer because i spend my life in the pub. Winter i don't really drink much as i'm home with a cuppa curled up on the sofa.

Dinner toinght, OH is having lamb chops and i want to try some fondant potatoes. I will have something... maybe the last kiev from yesterday, or there are some meatballs kicking around in the freezer. Lifted a gammon joint out to boil up tomorrow, will use some of it to make a gammon and leek pie for sunday dinner. Also going to defrost some cod and use that and prawns for a fish pie to have in the week too.

    Have a lovely day all

  • Morning all,

Another shift over - Yay. Not going straight home though as the lights in this building are soooo bright my eyes hurt and I get headaches from squinting, so I'm going back to the opticians this morning as I am sure my eyesight is getting worse and driving esp. at dusk worries me. I wanted the optician's to test my eyes at their most tired and this morning is certainly that time ;)

DH and me going out for an Indian tomorrow night (I will be awake by then - probably :o) to a curry house once voted the best in Wales - yummy! Then Sunday we're off over the border to NW England to a friend's 21st, DD1 and her BF coming with us, with DD1 making the birthday cake and me making some cupcakes for the littlies.

Some advice please if I may ask - I've never had a breadmaker and really want one - do you get what you pay for? You see i've found one for £39.00 which gets really good reviews but as the rest are mainly £70 and up I wondered if it was worth it?

Welcome Findingmyway - as a newbie poster myself I can vouch for the friendliness of this thread.

FW - Sounds like good news, onwards and upwards eh?

    Hugs and positivity to all
