OS Daily Thread Friday 11th November

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday 11th November This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Good Morning my ladies
Early start for us here today
Well I went to court and to cut a relatively long story short... we were supposed to be there for a 3 hours and we were in and out in half an hour:eek:
Ex hadnt done anything Judge wanted... Judge was obviously rattled by this....
Barrister had 'nothing' constructive to say just kept apologising for things that hadnt been done and coming up with lame excuses as to why they hadnt....
Ex withdrew case there and then in front of us all :T
Judge accepted this... well come on ladies this is a serial domestic violence perpertraitor (sp) he wasnt going to let me win.. it had to end on his terms with him in control....
So the new order is.. he can send her a birthday card if he wants to and the judge granted a section 91 (14) which prevents him bringing it back to court without the courts permission.. and this will last for a minimum of 2 years...
So a happy outcome here... We can now get on with our lives... I doubt he will come back in two years he has a lot of work to do to convince the court he has changed....
oh and the new GF IS pregnant... bought fit to drop... CAFCAS says that they have a duty to get involved....
I bought a dishwasher on the way home
My orange wine is now in demis... got a bit of an issue maybe with the wine... the orange one is going..... bloop..bloop..bloop whereas the others are going bloop...................bloop......................bloop..... Any ideas???
Tea tonight is a slow cooker lamb curry.
Im at home today catching up on housework and I did make 3 sales yesterday so I am happy with that :T
Huggles to all who need it... I havnt had time to read any of the threads from yesterday or the pms ... but I will

Good Morning FW - and all to follow. Sounds like a result FW! Well done to you! You must be feeling so pleased to know you can now get on with your life again. Well done on getting the DW too!
Can't sleep - too much going round in my head, so have ordered new printer cartridges, hopefully before the black finally runs out(!) and run the DW, which I forgot to do before bedtime. Early appt at asthma clinic today so guess I won't now bother going back to bed. Better to get everything i need to do down on paper and then plan how to get through it all I think.
Be back later, no doubt!
have a great day when your day starts!Resolution:

Morning all
Great news FW.
Hubby has the day off today, he's making a start on building our gazebo, because he's not at work I didn't need to get up til 6:30, so how come I've been up since 4!!
I've pottered around getting jobs done, I shall have my breakfast soon & then go to work, we have one person working part time due to a family crisis & one just given her notice in, she's been offered the same job in another school, same hours @ twice the salary! Morale is very low as you can imagine, we are not on great money & then to find that a nearby school is offering higher wages & cost of living rises, well I can see there will be a rush of exits. I shan't look for another job, I'm 60 in ten days time so no real chance of getting another job. I still have my part time job & I'm hoping to increase my hours on that.
Chicken & chips for tea tonight as I'm feeling lazy.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Well done fw now you can move on without anything too bad to stress you out anymore, good for you treating yourself too.
Welcome to findingmyway sorry you are feeling so down but here you can unload your problems and we will all listen.
Its a bit nippy this morning so I have finally stuck my heating on for an hour.My house is so tiny, an hour warms it up in no time and because of excellant insulation it stays nice and warm. After the school run with my grandsons I am coming home to make a big vat of HM soup from a veggies I have in stock. Then this afternoon I have my history club then I pick the boys up from my DGD's house.(she picks the little ones up for me on Friday afternoons) then back to their house and make them a quick tea as one of them (Henry) has to be at youth club by 6.30. I will get home by 6.45 at the latest for my dinner and feet up in front of t.v. for the evening.
Tomorrow I'm off to see my friend in London and to see her quiting clubs exhibition, but I can't stay too long as I have a pile of sausage rolls to make for Sundays family 'do' for my eldest grandson.Just over 6 weeks until Christmas and I have only bought a couple of bits I must get myself organised a bitnext week I have the cards to make and address and a pile of pressies to buy yet.I sometimes feel like the White rabbit in Alice in Wonderland rushing around muttering 'I'm late,I'm late':) no doubt all will get done in time it usually does.
Have a great day everyone what ever you are doing

Its a bit nippy this morning so I have finally stuck my heating on for an hour.
My kitchen is 20 degrees without the heating on so its not on yet... The log burner must of gone out in the night so I have given that a proper clean out

Morning all
FW - glad you got a good result yesterday!
Findingmyway - welcome! I don't post as much as I'd like, but always feel welcome here, lovely bunch of virtual mates!
HH - what a shame about losing staff, hope you don't lose too many of the good ones.I've worked in schools with rock-bottom morale, so know how draining iit can be.
Late nights/broken nights with poorly littlies/early starts are starting to catch up now, really shattered and can't concentrate! Only OS things going on today will be drying clothes on airer, making Christmas cards/presents and doing tea in SC (beef stew). A VERY early night is on the cards and it isn't even light yet!
Have a good day all - hoping for a couple of minutes peace at 11 o'clock to remember important people. Hugs and kisses to you all.
