New systems still need flushingI had an old 35 year old back boiler previously ,
But I did not want to use anything from the old system for the new , including the rads or pipe work,
None of this power flushing etc,
I wanted a complete new install !!
It was more expensive yes, but i wanted to give my Worcester 30cdi the best start out in life possible
Although i got £300 back on the scrap copper pipe , and HW tank that was removed , which was a big brucy bonus

It's all about the installation, you can fit a bad boiler well and it will last longer than fitting a good boiler bad. When you say they HAD, are they better at present ? the plumber i know, well actually he is a heating engineer, said his dad who has also been an engineer for around 40 years had a bosh and got fed up with changing failing parts on it. He then ripped it out after only 3 years and also fitted a viessmann same as my mate, Hasn't had to touch it for 3 years so far.
I think it doesn't really matter which make you have, you can get a cheap one like my mums ferroli which is still going after 15 years or pay a lot like my mates dad bosh and have it start breaking down within a year. Then there are others that are going strong, luck of the draw most times.X British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.

Hi..my OH has been fitting Viessmann products for 4+ years and he has never had problems with Viessmann technical support, spares or customer service. If Viessmann has been recommended by a source you trust as opposed to the anonymous on an internet forum then all the better.;)
Btw...you have been given a very competitive price for your install (mentioned on your other thread). Opt for a Magnabooster 2 filter as well.
In the end, a boiler is only as good as the standard of the installation and annual servicing.

Do viessmann send there own highly trained engineers out to repair boilers ? Or do they just use the installer.Canucklehead wrote: »Hi..my OH has been fitting Viessmann products for 4+ years and he has never had problems with Viessmann technical support, spares or customer service. In which context...under warranty? Didn't they cover this with you when you did your Viessmann training?
