The CDI is a great boiler, I am fitting a 42CDI today. After lots and lots of re-search , i went for a Worcester-Bosch 30CDi ,the Cdi range is worcester high end kit !!
Not only for the make , but for after care customer service also !!!!X British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.

When I wanted a boiler installed earlier this year, i got what was recommended by the installer and what he knew well. I paid him day rate for one day to fit and commision the boiler including cert.0

TBH.. it was installed 6 months ago and I still havent finished the CH system. All the first fix is in, just two more rads to hang. I'll do some serious reading around it before I fill the system.0

I had an old 35 year old back boiler previously ,

But I did not want to use anything from the old system for the new , including the rads or pipe work,
None of this power flushing etc,
I wanted a complete new install !!
It was more expensive yes, but i wanted to give my Worcester 30cdi the best start out in life possible
Although i got £300 back on the scrap copper pipe , and HW tank that was removed , which was a big brucy bonus

They had a lot of problems with boilers etc etc.
I like Worcester , valliant and baxi my self.
When you say they HAD, are they better at present ? the plumber i know, well actually he is a heating engineer, said his dad who has also been an engineer for around 40 years had a bosh and got fed up with changing failing parts on it. He then ripped it out after only 3 years and also fitted a viessmann same as my mate, Hasn't had to touch it for 3 years so far.
I think it doesn't really matter which make you have, you can get a cheap one like my mums ferroli which is still going after 15 years or pay a lot like my mates dad bosh and have it start breaking down within a year. Then there are others that are going strong, luck of the draw most times.0
