    Evening,

Bringing positive thoughts this week for all of us waiting. It is so frustrating that most are still waiting and over the recommended time. I am one of the fortunate ones who has received part of my money, however I am sure I will still have to wait for the other 2 parts for a while yet.

I really think, as someone on here mentioned before, that FP have no system at all and that the cheques are just placed in a box for someone to work through. They probably dont even have the boxes numbered with which ones to do first and I very much doubt that they have thought about having such an organised system in the first place. Seeing as I got my first cheque last week you would think I would have got them altogether as they should have been done roughly about the same time so it just shows you that FP do not have a good system.

Nutty Nat - Well I have put the money in the bank as I am awaiting the other cheques before I pay off my debt (yes unfortunately I still have debt) but hopefully with the rest of the money coming through then it can be cleared. However couldnt help treating the children this weekend with a few xmas pressies and the odd one for me.......being a car! LOL

    Good luck to all

    Hi Hun

Glad you are ok and well done you for treating yourself, I paid off a £10,000 credit card bill last week which felt really good. I have bought my son a car and have treated myself to a car as well (SNAP). I still like you have another £10,000 owed to me which is from the first part of my loan which is logged with the FOS which I have an awful feeling will take forever. That money will be used for clearing debts as well.

Good luck to everybody and Digital trance if you are still reading this I hope your cheques arrive this week ;). Also anybody else frustrated by Firstplus.
  • well, now on 40 +8 so will be calling tomorrow to find out any updates. holding off from emailing uncle bob until late next week if the cheques are still no shows.

good luck to everyone else waiting.

I can highly recommend an e-mail to uncle bob! I have been waiting 11 weeks and going round in circles with phonecalls to FP which have proved useless. I e-mailed Bob on Thursday evening last week, had an ackowledgement e-mail on saturday and phonecall today saying my cheques had just been put into post. That's more progress in 4 days than I've had in 4 weeks chasing FP......although I shall hold my breath until the cheques land on the doormat!

    40 +9

I called this morning and was told that they reviewed (not exactly his word, I can't remember what it was) the amount to take into consideration additional payments made after the initial offer letter. He also said that my payment is on top of the queue.

Well gives me hope that I should see the cheques this week but until I actually have the checques on my hands...

  • :j:j two cheques received from First Plus :j:j

My acceptance letter was received by FP on the 18th October. So by my maths thats 5 weeks today. :D

The acceptance letter stated cheques for £3831.14 and £555.24.

The letter that arrived today is a bit odd...

It states ' we have applied the refund of your PPI premium plus interest to the account balance.
Enclosed a cheque for £290.71 payable just to me for payments made to PPI policy.
Enclosed a cheque for £576.05 for the 8% payable to my hubby'

Behind the letter was two cheques £3973.34 and £576.05 both payable to my hubby.

Well done to all other winners

    Hi all,

Great news, I recevied my cheques today from FP. They officalliy recevied my acceptance letter on the 1st Nov after 5 weeks of stupid back and forth problems.

So it has taken 3 weeks from receving my acceptance date letter. (full 8 weeks if you take into account the 5 weeks messing about.)

Total of £9000 which was in 2 cheques. Weird thing was they had completely scrubbed out the retunr address on the back of the envelope.

Good luck to all the people still waiting and I hope you recevive their cheques very soon, hopefully FP have sorted themselves out.

Thanks for everyones help over the last few months.

2 cheques arrived today.......hoorah I hear you all say...Not quite! They were both for the wrong amount - about £4,500 less than the amount stated on the agreement I signed and sent back. FP dared to suggest that I may have been in arrears, to which I set the record straight...I have never defaulted on a payment. I then had the usual response 'I'll e-mail Cardiff, perhaps you were offered the wrong amount in the first place'. So back to Bob I go......the saga continues
