My acceptance letter was received by FP on the 18th October. So by my maths thats 5 weeks today.
The acceptance letter stated cheques for £3831.14 and £555.24.
The letter that arrived today is a bit odd...
It states ' we have applied the refund of your PPI premium plus interest to the account balance.
Enclosed a cheque for £290.71 payable just to me for payments made to PPI policy.
Enclosed a cheque for £576.05 for the 8% payable to my hubby'
Behind the letter was two cheques £3973.34 and £576.05 both payable to my hubby.
Well done to all other winners

heard from FP today, they have upheld my claim and admitted they didnt explain everything and that I was led to believe that the insurance would cover the term of the loan, however because I have claimed they are only going to pay £251.00, certainly not what I was hoping for,:(0

What has happened to the original ppi amount?this should come off the balance of your loan and your loan reduce by the monthly ppi amount.jaynemaria wrote: »heard from FP today, they have upheld my claim and admitted they didnt explain everything and that I was led to believe that the insurance would cover the term of the loan, however because I have claimed they are only going to pay £251.00, certainly not what I was hoping for,:(
The refund you have recieved could have been the ppi you paid with 8% and they have taken off your insurance amount that you claimed and any arrears.
It is still a victory, and if the ppi is taken off the balance(make sure they have done this) this will save you thousands over the remaining term in interest.0 -
