I received 2 cheques in the post today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So so so sorry for the people still waiting for theirs and having to wait after the 6-8 weeks. Mine have come 2 - 4 weeks EARLY!!! I am still in shock. I do still have another 4 to wait for and wondered if these will make an appearance soon as well. We took a loan out and then had 2 further advances hence the 3 cheques plus the 3 cheques for 8% interest. I must be one of the lucky ones to get this early however I am worried about the other cheques and really hope they dont get caught up in the post delay.
Good luck to those waiting.0 -

This is imperative to the rate issue that will hammer anyone that has a FP loan when the BOE raises interest rates.0 -
Having just found this thread, I'm please to hear that some of you are finally receiving your cheques. I have just passed the 10 week mark and am completely exasperated with FP's delay tactics in issuing my cheques (£10K and growing by the day). My twice weekly phonecalls to FP have been futile. 3 e-mails have been sent from Liverpool to Cardiff to no avail....I've tried every tactic....staying calm, getting upset or cross ....although I've had no control over this (depends how I've been feeling on the day). So today's new tactic (thanks to those of you who have suggested this) is an e-mail to Mr Diamond. I wait in eager anticipation of the read receipt to my e-mail, even if I don't get an immediate response.0

This will be my last post on here the stress levels in our house over this ppi has reached epic proportions and my wife and I are just turning the stress and frustration on each other which is not healthy …. We are not unique freaks, all across the land today family’s will be turned upside down because of the money issues . As we talked last night my wife said to me 'you’ve lost a whole year of your life over this PPI claim , you've not been able to focus or enjoy anything '
I could say she was exaggerating but sadly she is right. It has been with me every waking hour ….If you live a life like most of us do in England riddled with old debt (wrongly or rightly ) It is hard not to become transfixed with a possibility to get out of it. Although this PPI will not fix my debt problem it will get us things we have gone years without. It will pay off one small debt which will give us another £300 a month spending money which for us will mean a radical change in life style.
With just a few weeks of 2011 left I have a choice to make I can keep winding myself up about this talking about it,writing about it ...and venting about it or I can take a leaf out of Wayne Dyer's book and 'Just let go and let God' by that he means just going with the flow and stop try to control a situation which is quite frankly totally out of my control.
I have done everything I can possibly think off to try and get this cheque to me and everything has failed …... So I have sat waiting for the postman for the last time …...I surrender to what is ...The cheque will come sometime but nothing I do will get it to me any sooner.....What all my fussing will do is simply bring more negativity to my life.....
On a site which 'Fights Your corner' that may seem like I failed ...I have fought my corner I just can't fight any more.....
More important PPI info
After talking to a knowable lady at the call centre yesterday it seem the whole way they process the cheques is a farce ..she says they just get boxes of letters with cheques in that they have to open up and then send on to the customers they usually get the boxes at the beginning of the week and send the cheques on by the end. That is why you are more likely to get your cheque Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Monday depending on how good your post is ….. She said knowing where your cheques is very hard....This is why they probably say when you call 7/10 days, they are simply hoping your cheque will be in the next batch of boxes.... As to whether this is true or not I don't know but it does seem crazy enough to be so.......
As to the alphabet processing idea... sounds possible.... my surname starts with a P so ill be waiting a long ….time..........
Anyway, I hope everyone gets what they are owed sometime ...thanks for all the posts and input......
As the dolphins said in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as they escaped the planet before it's destruction..
'So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish'
:silenced:but guess what they haven't, so god knows when i will recieve them, just like you this has taken over our lives for the last six months and enough is enough..................

Apoligies to start if this goes on a bit. But have been following this thread for a few days now. I thought i would add my two pennys worth in (seeing as thats about as much as ive got until FP pay out) Lets start at the beginning like eveyone put in the claim. There investigation starts 8 weeks then 12 weeks and finally 16 weeks we get a result upheld will pay you out in 6 to 8 weeks . 6 weeks arrives nothing thats ok as banking terms 6 to 8 weeks means 8 weeks. but alas 8 weeks comes and goes. So do as everyone else start calling them. Following various calls and 1001 excuses which im sure you all have had the same. I read that some had given the big man a email so i typed a polite email to bob diamond myself and nothing. I know some have had responses and you are the lucky ones maybe i will get mine next week fingers crossed. So where are we now 10 maybe 11 or possibly 12 weeks late watching the postman walk past again with nothing. Well at least some seem to be getting there cheques now it does give hope to the rest of us.
As they say you can lead a horse to water but cant make it drink !
You can have your case upheld but cant get Fp to pay you !!!!
Good luck to all of you in getting what is yours and lets hope its in time for christmas0 -

Following my e-mail to Bob on Thursday evening, I have received an acknowledgement e-mail from James Philpot (Executive Support Team) on Saturday morning saying that my case had been forwarded to the appropriate dept and they would contact me directly.....I wait with baited breath! To add insult to injury Mr Philpot referred to me as 'Mr' rather than 'Mrs'.....I normally wouldn't worry about something so trivial!
Hey ho...it's Monday again tomorrow so I wonder what new excuses await the twice weekly phonecall to FP!0 -
well, now on 40 +8 so will be calling tomorrow to find out any updates. holding off from emailing uncle bob until late next week if the cheques are still no shows.
good luck to everyone else waiting.0 -
Evening,
Bringing positive thoughts this week for all of us waiting. It is so frustrating that most are still waiting and over the recommended time. I am one of the fortunate ones who has received part of my money, however I am sure I will still have to wait for the other 2 parts for a while yet.
I really think, as someone on here mentioned before, that FP have no system at all and that the cheques are just placed in a box for someone to work through. They probably dont even have the boxes numbered with which ones to do first and I very much doubt that they have thought about having such an organised system in the first place. Seeing as I got my first cheque last week you would think I would have got them altogether as they should have been done roughly about the same time so it just shows you that FP do not have a good system.
Nutty Nat - Well I have put the money in the bank as I am awaiting the other cheques before I pay off my debt (yes unfortunately I still have debt) but hopefully with the rest of the money coming through then it can be cleared. However couldnt help treating the children this weekend with a few xmas pressies and the odd one for me.......being a car! LOL
Good luck to all
