Hi again,
((((hugs)))) to all of those who have bad news, bad MILs, feeling down or just needing one. Some of you are dealing with some really tough stuff at the moment but, as many have pointed out, so long as you have this forum, you're not alone.
Hi to the newbies.
Happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs mix
Twink thanks for your kind thoughts re DS. He said the maths exam was tough but he thinks he has done OK.
I have a terrible feeling that I must have forgotten to do something as I seem to be ahead of myself as far as cleaning, tidying, washing, etc goes. Oh well, I'm sure I will find out soon enough.
Like grannybroon, I feel a wee aperitif coming on.I may just watch some Mr Darcy (Colin Firth, of course) while I enjoy it! Or maybe some Kevin Kline. Decisions, decisions. Have a great evening everyone. xx

The house is a bit of a tip, but it can all wait until tomorrow:rotfl:

Shez you're lucky you dreamt about Colin Firth. I once dreamt that I was engaged to Nigel Havers! :rotfl: :rotfl: I don't even like him.
Can I just ask one silly question? Whenever you say "Mr Darcy" do you say it in Lizzie Bennett's voice when he surprises her beside the lake at Pemberley? I do."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Dear Kazonline,
I've seen you mention several times about allotments and growing vegetables, and thought you might perhaps be interested in some other websites etc.
The RHS website has an area about Growing Your Own Veg, and will send weekly emails with info on what to do, and there is also a series on TV at the moment.
One of my favourites is the HDRA site, which has masses of info on organic growing, making compost, starting an allotment etc.
Gardening Which is also good, and has a monthly list of things to do.
I can recommend a book Grow Your Own Vegetables by Joy Larkcom, probably one of the most knowledgeable and down to earth veggie growers.
My own favourite mag is The Kitchen Garden, which has been going much longer than Grow Your Own.It's usually available in Smiths.
There is a kitchengardens forum (not related to the magazine) on Yahoo Groups.
Of course, you may find that this lot keeps you too busy to actually get out there and garden! (I've had an allotment for 16 years now, and can't get motivated in January!)
Happy growing! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Yep, DH *caught* it himself! :rotfl: :rotfl: Won't go into more detail, in case some people are offended
Would love to see the sculpture of the chooks! Ours are laying like good 'uns atm. 2 eggs a day, which is more than we can use. Want some?
