Afternoon all, just having my daily half hour on here, always do a this time as kids rush in and go off to various rooms to watchs their tv programmes, and dd just follows as she really misses them in the day.
Where is crazychik i wonder? No posts today, hope you are ok babe xx

Hugs to everyone with illness, ill cats and horrible inlaws!! Alot of us seem very down today.

But hey it is the weekend at last, hoping ds1 footy match will not be called off tommorow they havent played since before xmas, and it will mean having lots of mid week fixtures to catch up! We were ment to be going out to a race night in aid of one of the boys footy team tonight but, have decided to be sensible and stay in as we feel the money is better spent on the debts, so have bought a chaep bottle of wine, dh is now going to play footy tonight with his ex workmates ( one who is having a rough time at the min as he has found out his wife is having a affair, hes such a nice bloke really doesnt deserve it) so i will be chillinf in front of the box when they have gone, as i think most of the boys will go and watch him.

Take care all,and will probably be back on later for a chat!!

    Good afternoon everyone,

((HUGS)) joannasmum, glad the your cat seems ok xx

Well, DD has gone off with her friend, and ive promised to ring at 8.30 before she goes to bed, so im hoping she will have a lovely time. Im looking forward to finishing work (last one goes at 5.15) and spending some time with DS, i dont think it has ever been just me and him overnight before, but will be very strange without DD.
DS has football tomorrow morning, so back to standing in a cold muddy field every Saturday. The league doesnt actually start until next week, but they have arranged some friendlies for this weekend to get the boys back in the swing of it. Will be collecting DD before the match, so will be glad to see her.
Also have my sister coming to visit for the day tomorrow, they will meet us at football, so will be able to watch DSplaying - im hoping that my BIL will put up my new fencepanels (mind you, they are still at the shop, so hes going to have to help me put them on the roof of my car to get them home too). It will be lovely to see them tho, and they dont have to race off early like they did last time they came down.
Right, off to play Barbies for a bit -
Hope everyone has a lovely evening,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi again all, home again now.
Seroxat chick - What's up with your MIL, does nothing please her?
I have to speak up for some of them as I had a brilliant one, sadly no longer with us, but I still miss talking with her, we used to have a good laugh, she was the youngest 80 year old I knew! We never had a cross word in over 20 years, and I'm not the easiest person in the world.

Some I think cannot relate to sharing their ds's with another woman. Hope I can do better with DS gets a partner/wife.

As you say she will miss out, due to good relations, our DS spent lots of time with both sets of Grandparents, they even got on with each other which made visits so easy, and organised between them to cover me working when DS not well or on school hols.

Welcome boysmum3 I'm very new too.

cattie1 4 men to 3 women in ours, but they make most of the tea/coffee. but then again I'm the boss!

Afternoon all, thanks for all your kind thoughts.

Unfortunately my friend is hounded by debtors (phone ringing 20 times a day, through the night) so she has unplugged it now. She tried the CAB, but had problems getting an appointment and has now just given up. We had someone at work last year take their own life and we were told to remember it is not our responsibility, we can't be with someone 24 hours a day to watch them. I have to remember that and just keep letting her know I am there if she needs me. Oh how I do hope she follows the link I sent to MSE!

Thanks for letting me talk about it, I'm worried that if I tell anyone else she will then feel I've betrayed her and won't talk to me again. At least this way I can try to keep talking to her.

On a more positive note, just came back from the solicitors about the flat I'm buying. I have an envelope full of paperwork an inch and a half thick to read through!!! I guess this means it is all moving forward :)

Well, that's work over for another week - phew! Only half an hour and the sun with be over the yardarm and my Friday G & T beckons, once OH finishes watching Deal or No Deal - addicted now he is at home!)

So sorry to hear about horrid MILs, friends in deep distress, poor kitty cats and anything else bothering folk today. I am so glad I get on well with my SIL and DS's partner. My one fear was that they would choose someone I couln't get on with! However, surely if you love your kids hopefully you will have respect for the partners they choose. Mind you if either ever did anything in the future to really hurt them
well that could be another story, I think old GB could be rather formidable! I do know that should DD and SIL ever really go through a bad patch, he would always still be there for the boys. He is a fantastic, doting dad and I know he loves DD deeply.

Well how OS is this? DH took 2 grouse and a pigeon out of freezer (given by a friend) to cook for his dinner over next couple of days. However, on way home in car at lunchtime he came across a pheasant in it's final death throes on the road. By the time he parked up the poor thing had snuffed. Yep, you have guessed right, it is now happily simmering along with the other game!!!!

I don't think I can be as OS as I thought - does this mean I can now go and treat myself to something nice tomorrow because there will be about 8-10 single portion main meals in my freezer more or less for free?

Anyway my friend just about to arrive to re-measure my big windows as she is making new curtains for me. Windows are huge - I need 25 metres for both so fingers crossed I have made the right choice of material. Got it at Dunelm Mill at only £7.99 a metre but friend says it is really good stuff and won't need linings. So had better pop off now and hopefully will catch up with you all later.

    Hugs to all

    GB

PS just heard DD confined to bed with chest infection and doctor has been in. He has prescribed something which will be safe to take in pregnancy. Have told SIL that Supergran is on standby if he needs a help but not tonight as G&T sacrosanct!
