Are we losing the point here?
I don't care who manufactures the memory - I just want it to work. If it does not work as advertised / specified then I can send it back.

I would liken buying a fake card to buying a fake Rolex watch. Yes it looks the same, hell it even tells the time, but sooner or later your arm will turn green and its hands will fall off
I bought a fake from eBay which was quoted as being real. It failed to hold the total 2Gb capacity, so I sent it back, for a refund or replacement with a genuine card . . . they sent me a refund.0 -

Alright - sorry I should have read the title more closely. :-(
Having said that, the 2Gb card I bought via the Amazon marketplace for £16 all in, claims to be official sony 2Gb high speed. It looks pukka (as described in the how to spot fakes on ebay) article. I'll try the capacity over the weekend and report back.

The bottom line is that you've been ripped off and that's all there is to it.EGG are a bunch of complete bankers!0 -

Yep that's right. The fake card which just died a couple of days ago can't be returned now. The seller is no longer an eBayer.0 -
Just got my £!0.50 2Gb Sandisk card from ebay. Item located in Ilford, London but posted from China! Works well so far and "appears" identical to my Sandisk 512Mb (that was genuine since it came with my phone which came direct from T-Mobile). Don't care if it is fake or not since at that price as long it works I am happy.0

I strongly recommend people do not knowingly buy fakes. People will say they work, but on the whole those people will have put one MP3 on it after opening the box. Most are repartitioned fakes and will experience difficulties when adding beyond the physical limit of the memory itself.
Buy right first time, buy and make sure you get a genuine card. There's just no reason to risk money on a fake when you can buy a genuine one.0
