eBay or Amazon Markeplace = fakes
How many times does this have to be said!EGG are a bunch of complete bankers!0 -
I name that seller in 1.0

Just to point out that one of the fakes that I bought on eBay in November 2006 stopped working last night! It's dead, can't format, can't do anything with it.
Reason enough NOT to buy on eBay or Amazon Marketplace
Current retail prices for Originals
2Gb :~£35+
4Gb: ~£65+0 -
Just get one of ebay, fake or not they still work. I bought a 2gb one for £11 months ago and it works fine...and a 1 gig over a year ago which works fine.0

I find a good source of cheap memory cards is the 7 day shop. Bought several SD cards there and they have been cheap and work well. Does anyone know if they are likely to be fakes?0

Why do you people keep encouraging this? Are you linked to those people selling the counterfeit cards?0 -

very unlikely to be fakes. 7dayshop are reputable and SD cards aren't faked because the genuine ones are cheap.0 -
not all are fakes.. I import items direct from the manufacturers to sell on ebay.. and genuine samsung memory in sandisk and sony cards are sold for around 1gb - £12 and 2gb - £20 still make me a good profit.. because people get ripped off in places like curries / pc world and boots etc. does'nt mean other places that sell items are low prices are definately fakes, they are not. Fakes do exist on ebay and a lot of the chinese and hong kong sellers rip off customers with TT Memory fakes (ie. 512mb card with the internals tweaked to look like a 2gb/4gb.. these are easily spoted by the appearance or copying a large file to the card to make sure it does hold that capacity)..=======================

Folks :-
Are we losing the point here?
I don't care who manufactures the memory - I just want it to work. If it does not work as advertised / specified then I can send it back.
I have just bought a 2Gb card for my W810i phone from Amazon market place for £16 or so. This is in line with the current costs of SD cards of that sort of capacity. It appears to work fine, I will try filling it up, until I get a PC adaptor then all data transfer is over USB to the phone, so I suspect not terribly representative.
