    I don't know why people are paying so much for fakes when there is a 1GB Sony Pro Duo being sold on Amazon for only £3.76+delivery!!! It's from the Marketplace obviously, but the guy has lots of +ve feedback so it must be genuine mustn't it? The seller with this megacheap card is definitely based in the UK as you can tell from one of his responses on his feedback:
    "Thank you for your advice. We have been send your item on 19th Dec(royalsmail's holiday on 20th Dec.-27th Dec), we get your item return back at 4th Dec,because there is nobody signed for. We send E-mail to you at the 5th Dec to confirm your address also I re-delievery your item to you at the same date. Hope you could understand the delay is not our power could be controlled and we did our best."
    I think the bottom is rapidly dropping out of the fake market ;) As old people used to say: buy cheap, buy twice.
    You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.
  • Same here. Highly irritating that I got duped. Wasn't too bothered in the end, given the low price that I paid. Hardly the best mentality, but still!

    Marketplace = fakes.

    The positive rep is from people who received them, tested them & then given feedback. There's no way for people who have found that after a few weeks/months that when the card has failed that they can change their feedback.

    Whats the big deal?
    My 2gb one has been in my psp for months now and has about 1.8gbs worth of games on it. For all this time its performed perfectly. And even if it was to break now the usage I would have got out of it will justify only paying a tenner for it. I could by another one from ebay and still have paid less than for a real one. I doubt that will happen though, cos the 1gb one in my phone has lasted over a year.
  • I'm quite happy with my fake mini SD cards that I got for £10. They work perfectly with nice speed. I've never had a card fail on me... except one "official" sandisc card that I bought from comet!
    Everyone saying they aren't the same quality etc, well they aren't the same price either. I think the supposed lack of quality is worth the reduced price.

    What some people aren't getting is that fakes are fakes for a reason.... The fact it was posted from China (the faking capital of the world) is not at all hopeful.

    Not sure about that at all. My genuine card wa also made in China. I do suspect my new card is a fake but it could also be excess stock from the factory that makes the genuine ones or even pilfered/stolen form the genuine factory (I admit I wouldn't be happy buying in those circumstances though).

    I don't think promotion of intellectual property theft or funding organised crime is part of the forum's remit.

    I can't believe people are endorsing buying fakes. Would you buy a fake Prada handbag, fake Rolex or fake DVD?

    Just because they work NOW does not mean they will last, they may corrupt your data, ruin your hardware and waste your money.

    Nothing fake is ever good. Why not buy a cheaper, genuine non-branded card from 7dayshop? Why pay for a name you know is fake!? At least from a site like 7dayshop you have real rights. A marketplace seller or ebay trader? Do me a favour!

    Well of course people do. Haven't you seen the people selling them in Spain, Turkey, Thailand etc. You don't pay £1000 for a fake rolex but £30 nor do you expect it to last too long either but you get to enjoy if for the 6months or so that it will work for.
