Why can't 2 separated parents 'get together' for things concerning the children? Surely it's better for the children to see the parents actually communicate with each other about them?

I've been split from the ex for nearly 3 years, we go to parents evening together, unless you can't due to work patterns or something it seems daft to have 2 separate appointments.

And I think if you don't like your partner going to things for his/her children at the same time as the other parent then simply don't get with someone that has kids! She knew he had kids when she first met him.
