I did tell him to shut up [cough] when DD was in A&E being prepared for surgery for suspected appendicitis, as he was talking about how they were going to cut her open and take her insides out to get the meat away. She didn't even need surgery in the end, but she was terrified because of him. The staff were sniggering the other side of the curtain, as my voice can carry even when not raised.

The time he told her the saw thing for removing a plaster cast was to cut her arm off was another of those times. Unfortunately, the technician was about to remove him from the room as he upset about 5 small children waiting to have their casts off at the same time, so me telling him to go away and sunbathe in radiotherapy actually saved him a whole lot of bother.

Nope. Best thing about her being an adult. No involvement whatsoever.

Next time I am likely to see him is when she is in hospital/has a baby/gets married/graduates from university/whatever happens first. Assuming I get invited, that is.


Will happily go to his funeral though. Will bring me dancing shoes an' all. For when DD has left the crem, obviously :whistle:

when my ex used to go to parent's evening we always had separate appointments so I'd let him get on ith going to his own appointment - its better that he has a separate one that none at all surely?

I loved Parents' Evenings.

Good kids deserve their pats on the back and meeting parents is the best way to foster the team work which enables kids to fulfil their potential.
