  • What a day!! I've been on a training course to train me to do the job I've be doing to 5 years. But now I have a certificate to prove I can do the job I've been doing for 5 years. Never mind got £23 in expenses but did have a bit of spend in the shops at lunch time. Don't know why same shops just a different town.

There was cheapy food shop so got some crisps and some creme eggs as a treat came home and ate 3 packets of crisps and 2 eggs...........I know I know. :(

Have sorted car insurance and have decided to leave OH off for now. If there is a need we can add him on for 30 days at a time (max 90 in a year). Having to pay monthly so hope I can save enough in the pot over the next 12 months to pay outright next year.

The £2 pot is back upto £14 already but that has left me sort of spending money this week,oh well.

Looking foward to this long weekend.xx

  • What is it with £2 coins at the moment. I seem to be having a lot of them given to me in change.......I'm not moaning I'm back up to £18 in my £2 pot already.:)

Went to just sburys and the butchers for the food shopping yesterday didn't get chance to go to A1di, spent £67 in sburys but that did include some beer and bits for what will now be an indoor BBQ due to the weather. :(

Looking forward to catching up on some jobs around the house over the next few days and some relaxing time with the OH and kids.

I wonder if I'm the only one that feels a bit 'strange' now that this website has been sold. Its been an absolute rock for me over the last 6 months and I don't want to see anything change. Fingers crossed we won't notice any difference.xx

  • NSD number 2. LOL

Havent been out of the house today. We wanted to go and join in the Jubilee celebrations somewhere but lots of places around here were charging to get in and it was pouring down with rain, so stayed in and watched all the celebrations on TV.

Hoping to get out into the garden tomorrow, think the weeds will come up easier as the ground is so wet.xx

  • Managed another NSD yesterday but not today, so thats 4 so far.:)

We did get into the garden yesterday and managed to clear the one side of weeds etc and cut the grass back and front. It looks much better, didn't cost anything and I feel much better for getting it done, plus back of the legs ache today so must of done me some good too.

We had family round today for another indoor BBQ. Went to sburys and A1di to get more supplies, spent about £40 between the two, including more beer which I think should come out of the entertainment budget.

I'm off work for the rest of the week but not sure what we are doing tomorrow, depends on the weather. OH has said he would take DS3 swimming, possibly looking at Friday.

Need to replace wiper blades on my car before MOT, which is due in a few weeks, and still need to sort tyres out.:o

Also need to find P60s and fill in tax credit renewal forms. I'm sure we've been overpaid with OH getting overtime. I find the whole set up very frustrating as I can never get through to them on the phone.:(

  • We haven't left the house today, had a real lazy day playing games with DS3.

Have helped DS1 sort his tax rebate and tax code out. The rebate will certainly come in useful as his car insurance quotes are ridiculous.

Also did the ironing this morning so have at least achieved something today. OH has priced up and booked my car in for some new tyres too. I did have to have bit of a meltdown to get him to do it, he wanted to go to garden centre to get some stuff to kill weeds on the grass (we currently have more weeds than grass!!) but I really want to get my car through its MOT before we spend any 'unnecessary' money and I'd rather the kids go swimming instead of treating the grass.

OH still doesn't take any great interest in whats happening with the money and our DMP, he just plods along without a care in the world.:(

  • evening alice you're doing really well with nsd's i've not had one yet i don't think

My dh is the same re the dmp, i don't think that will change. Only time he gets involved is when there is no money left for him. Then he wants to see spreadsheets, bills and all sorts (of which he understands none lol)

We've spent an absolute fortune on alcohol this bank holiday and sausages etc for the bbq!!! I'll be glad when things get back on an even keel  ! xx

  • A necessary spend today - new wiper blades for both cars. A friend of a friend works in carspares place so got a big discount which is great. OH had to get petrol too, although the first time this month he has had to.

DS2 comes home tomrrow so will have loads of washing. Although the wash basket is already over flowing as havent done any for days as can't get it easily dry it due to the weather.

OH taking DS3 swimming. We need bread so might ask OH to call in and get some. Don't think I can be trusted to go and just get bread. LOL. xx

  • I went to get some bread today.........and spent £42, not all on bread!!! We went through the fridge and cupboards and did a list and as OH pointed out we were out of fruit and bits for lunches next week. Also had a bargain, sburys were selling the kiddies bath/shower stuff at less than 50% so got some for a couple of parties that are coming up. (Hope the Moms aren't offended:o).

Its been so much easier to do lunches whilst we have been at home this week. I find packed lunches such a pain.:(

DS2 came back from his trip, he's had a great time and he didn't spend all his money. Just wading through the mountain of washing.....I do hope its pegging out weather tomorrow.

We've got enough cash for kids bus/lottery/after school club etc next week, both cars have got petrol so hopefully should have more NSDs. xx
