    I've been Money Tipped!
Alice, can you get a refund for any of the things you bought in Sainsburys? I've done that a few times, ie bought new bedsets and returned them a week later as didn't really need them.

  • Thanks Bublin1, I hadn't thought of that.:o I'll check through what I bought.

Managed another NSD today so that's a total of 3 for the month so far.

We did get back into the garden today to do a bit more, OH cleaned the cars too and I did a few jobs around the house - washed shower curtain, washed out washing machine draw, ironing all done, house just about clean and tidy ready for the week.

We've had the forms for the 2nd account at the bank so OH taking them into the branch tomorrow. I'm going to stay on track this week (not that I have choice after yesterdays spend!!).

Well better go and wash colour out of my hair (which OH very kindly applied), remembering the 'old' days when I used to pay £60+ for a colour, cut and blow dry, tut tut.

Hope everybody has a good week.xx

  • I'm temporarily without a laptop at home. Its got some sort of virus so had a word with the IT guys at work today and they've given me some good (free) advise. Will try that tonight and hopefully sort it :(.

Had a letter re PPI on my storecard, 'they need to do further investigation and will get back to me in 4 weeks'!!

New 'savings' bank account up and running so will work out how much overtime OH has been paid today and transfer it over.

Have been doing more walking over that last couple of nights (the dog is loving it), after putting my waterproof jacket on the other night and it feeling much too snug I really must do something about my weight. Have eaten really sensibly over the last few days......just need to keep it up!!

Hopefully catch up with everybodys diaries later (if I can fix laptop).xx

  • I think I've sorted the laptop after staying up half the night whilst a scan was running, shattered today and its my turn to pick DS1 from work at 2.00am(OH has to get up at 5.00am to go to work tomorrow).

Had a LSD yesterday as I had to get DS2 bits for cooking that we didn't have in the house. But did get some reduced cooked meat for sandwiches today whilst I was at Sburys (normally down to jam sandwiches on a Friday).

I would normally go to A1di on way home but I haven't done a shopping list/menu plan for next week so I dont think it's wise to go and get stuff willy nilly, not with my track record!!

Have tried to transfer money into new account whilst at work today but need the card reader, hopefully I can do that tonight if laptop OK.

    £2 pot upto £110 :).xx

Wow Alice, £110 is fantastic, well done you :T.

Good plan not to venture into Mr Al's without your list or meal plan.

Hope you sort out the laptop xx

  • The laptop seems to be sorted now :).

Shattered this morning, DS1 finished work early at 12.30am but he wanted to meet his mates and was going to stay at his mates house after so I took a change of clothes for him then came home and was in bed by 1.00am, not too bad I thought. Then my mobile rang (which always worries me at that time of night) it was DS1 he hadn't got any form of ID with him, so as a favour and because I just didn't want him hanging around the town waiting for his mates I got up and took his ID to him. Back in bed 2.00am but I could not get back to sleep, finally dozed off then at 4.45am OHs alarm woke me up, finally got back to sleep from that and the dog started barking, that was a 5.50am, got up to see what her problem was, then back to bed. 7.30am DS1 text me to say he was on his back home but hadn't got a key, so I got up then and I feel like I've had a night on the tiles!!!

I'm meeting my Mom today as she wants me to help her choose a new mobile phone. As soon as OH comes in from work 'I'm outa here'. I've done the shopping lists too so whilst I'm out I going to go to Sburys, A1di and 1celand a small shop in each. Also need to get petrol in my car, think that will be my £100 for the month used already.:(

Don't know why I bothered to straighten my hair this morning as it raining.....great! I'll be back looking like Krystal Tipps in now time.

I've also got to chase a purchase I made on ebay (a book for a gift), I won and paid for it 2 weeks ago still no sign and although I've emailed them not heard anything back.

    xx

  • Is there any end to this football season, more footie on the TV!!

Anyway my Mom is all sorted with her new phone. All the food shopping is done, it took practically all afternoon going from shop to shop. I got some fresh pizza for a quick tea.

OH and DS2 watching football, DS1 has gone to work, DS3 won't be long out of bed.

We've had the heat on for a few hours, the house just felt so damp and cold.xx

  • Still no reply on ebay about the book. Will give them a few more days then do whatever you have to do (not sure as never had a problem with a purchase before):(

OH finally got his bike road worthy today. Although he can't go on it everyday (as he has to pick DS3 up some days) he should be able to do 2 or 3 days a week.

Today have cleaned all downstairs, took DS3 and DS2 to the park with the dog, but forgot about the time hence we are still waiting for the chicken to cook. The chicken will do for today and tomorrows (chinese) tea.

Today will also be a NSD number 6 for the month. After tea will sort out kids bus money etc and get ironing done.xx

  • Had a reply about the book from ebay, seller has been poorly but has posted the book today. I felt a bit guilty as my messages to them had been getting stronger and I'd threatened to report them.

OH has gone to work on his bike today, I felt a bit sorry for him really, don't know why he's quite fit so he'll be fine. He can ride to work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays and this should save about £10-£12 per week in petrol.

We had a chinese made from the left over chicken last night for tea and it was fab. I have to confess 12 months ago I wouldn't of stripped the chicken and although I bake cakes etc I wouldn't say I was a cook so I was very pleased with my effort. Clean plates all round.:)

Haircuts for 3 of us tonight (£25), but yesterday was a NSD (number 7).

    Enjoying the sunshine.xx
