Yippee a NSD....at last
Got all the ironing done, managed to get cars vacuumed before the rain came, then have just spent the afternoon chilling out. It's still raining now, OH put the heat on earlier (only on low!) as he said the house felt damp.
Kids bus money sorted so hopefully tomorrow and Wednesday should be NSD's too.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Yay to you getting the cars hoovered Alice, glad you had a nice afternoon.
Woohoo to the NSD's, keep it up!! xMummytogirls x0 -
Alice, I read your diary from start to finish over two nights and have been captivated. You seem to be doing really well, I hope it continues going well for you all.
Like your son I was made redundant from my part time job when the store closed at the age of 17 or 18. I already had a car to run and insurance payments to make by then. Thankfully it worked out ok for me and I got a better job than before anyway. Sometimes things happen for a reason.
From what you have said i think i need to try shopping at Ald!. Hoping for some more NSDs for you!Graduated 16 July 2013 with First Class Honours :jHouse Deposit: £6,493.10 - Cashback Total: £447.670 -
Thank you lawstudent. Give A1di a go, it does take a few visits to get used to things
I think I need a kick up the backside. I feel very flat at the moment (even though I am very round!!!). The things that are bothering me are -
Food - I need to revamp our meal planner, we just seem to be having the same boring things.
Money - Although we are keeping on track with the budget we just seem to be plodding along, I'm not expecting to have saved thousands but you know?? I have taken £200 out of our savings and put it in our bank account as I was stressing that there wouldn't be enough money for all the DD's. I will be able to put that back into our new 'savings' bank account as soon as I've got the account number.
Me - Well where to start, need to get motivated (again!!) on losing weight and making more of an effort. Must try harder!!
Will try and catch up diaries later tonight.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Came home tonight to post from the building society about the mortgage exit fees I was querying. I asked about 3 x fees we might have paid, they sent a letters back saying that 2 of the fees were refunded in 2008. There wasn't anything about the 3rd fee so will check which account they haven't replied about. Never mind it was worth a go
xx

Hi Alice,
Boo to the fees already been refunded, it definately was worth a try though.
Sorry youve been feeling a bit flat, hope your feeling brighter soon xxMummytogirls x0 -
Yippee it's the weekend and according to the weather man it's going to be a dry and sunny weekend too.:)
I put 3 loads of washing out today which dried perfectly. I've got another 3 loads to go out tomorrow. I've done a bit if housework this evening as I really want to get out into the garden over the weekend. It badly needs doing, it's not going to cost anything and I think a bit of fresh air and sun on our backs will do us the world of good.
I called in at A1di's tonight on way home, spent £40ish, I will need to go to Sburys at some point as I've got a vouchers for OH's blades. Have only managed meal plan for over weekend. But plenty of food in cupboards/fridge/freezer.
NSD's this month - only 2 so far.:( Have updated spending diary, after paying for breakdown cover, sponsoring my friend who's doing the 'Bra Walk' tomorrow night and other bizarre spends we have £83 in the bank to last until end of next week. I will need to get more petrol over weekend but apart from kids bus money other spending will be kept to a minimum/zero. Over the next few weeks I need to put the £200 I borrowed from building society back.
Feeling like I'm back on the up at the moment. Hope everybody has a good weekend.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Great news that your on the up again Alice  hopefully the sunny weather will carry on making you up!
Have a nice weekend xxMummytogirls x0 -
I had better 'fess up. I went to Sainsburys this morning to get OH blades (with voucher) and a few other bits but ended up spending a small fortune. Think I need to look for a support group for 'People who can't stick to a shopping list' (hence the mess we're in now!). Well the damage is done now and with £3ish in my purse that will have to do for the week.
We've had a great day in the garden, we have loads of work to do this year which isn't costly just very manual work. So will be getting lots of exercise out there over the coming months.
As well as getting back in the garden again tomorrow I need to catch up on ironing, meal plan for week, hopefully get cars washed and do general housework ready for the week. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17
