The account has been put on hold for 30 days, they have changed it to correspondence by post only but they want a budget before they agree to my monthly fee. I just want to pay the same amount as I did through SC!! Balance is £2645, monthly payment £81
Well done on contacting Apex. I am sure they will accept the offer, all Apex will know is that your balance is £2645 and the date you took out the card etc - they probably won't know you were on a DMP with SC.On a plus note, Cabot have sent us a letter re balance outstanding......not sure why as they have been paid for the last 2 months....on the smallest debt which is £45.56, so I'm going to pay this off when we pay the next payment (in approx 2 weeks). That will mean 1 debt down.:)
It will be great to be 1 debt down so quickly after starting to self-manage:TBcard has sent a letter asking for the account to be brought up to date. I have only been paying them £25 per month and they have been adding interest. I'm not sure what to do about this account!?!
Xx
Have you had a reply to your letter which you sent them advising them you were self-managing?
If it has been 4 weeks I would either send another one or see if you can email them.
Once the offer has been accepted they should stop adding interest and you could then be sneaky and ask for the interest back but I wouldn't be asking yet until they have accepted your new offer.0 -
Good luck on paying off the smallest debt, it's a big confidence booster and you will want to move on to clearing the next one. How much do u need to pay to clear the next one can u see the end in sight for this one as well.
You are doing brilliantly keep up the good work.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -

Thanks EE, I'm waiting for the paperwork to arrive from Apex. Hopefully it will be straight forward.
I will send another letter to Bcard.
Great advice as always, thanks EE.

OH was in a horrible mood yesterday. Nothing I said or did helped or made him snap out of it. I went shopping in the end, spent £53 in supermarket. Just a few days of packed lunches this week, thankfully.
Today was a NSD, number 6.

Up to 8 NSDs.
OH took the oldies out yesterday, bought them lunch. They did offer to pay but we always feel uncomfortable about that. OH was a bit frazzled when he got back, he'd taken the kids with him.:rotfl:
On the debt front, our mobiles and the home phone have been ringing a lot. So I've written to everybody again and requested correspondence by post only, and that we will carry on paying the same amount as through SC.
Emergency fund/savings up to £129.
Kids have got sports clubs subs due at the end of the month. Really don't want to pay monthly would like to get it paid all at once and done with, not sure we'll have the funds.
Have done meter readings, we are £37.12 in credit.
No pegging out today, hopefully tomorrow.
Desperately need haircut, I'm off for a few days this week, will try and sneak a cheeky trim in.
Just 3 more days of childcare to pay for this holiday. Will drop DS2s school suits off at the dry cleaners. do I pay for the extra more expensive clean or just the usually basic clean. Basic clean me thinks!!
Ive bided on some more work shoes off eBay, brand new from Next £2.75 at the mo.
Hope everybody has a good day, and at least a bit of sunshine.:)

Lots going on for you still - glad you are keeping on top of things.
Yah to only 3 more days of childcare to pay for.
Here in Suffolk we had been forecast storms but when I checked this morning it just said windy with high winds this afternoon so I have been pegging the washing out (with extra pegs) and it's all drying in under an hour. The tea towels were dry in less then 30 mins!!
I've already done 3 loads and got them dry with another load on the line and 1 more in the machine.
Hope tomorrows weather is good and you get to peg out.0 -
