Good on you going for the exercise class! So much is spent on your husband and boys' sports so don't feel guilty. Enjoy!
And big congrats on paying off the first debt. How about saving (from the reduced sum going to bc) for some cheeky f&fs?

Really need to cut out the gunge in our house as only me and DH eat it, but we love to eat it, just wish fruit tasted like chocolate.

Why is it that the week before payday you think that u are doing fine and have a bit of money in your bank account and it should last you, and then all h*ll breaks loose and you wonder how u are going to manage. Happens every month to me, think right I have paid for everything, got food money i'll be fine then, then aargh... oh well never mind.

Brilliant news Alice on paying off your first debt, now onto the next. Keep up the good work.xx

Hi Amber, anything sweet and alcohol are my downfall.:o

I feel your pain. On paper I've got everything worked out then something comes along and puts a spanner in works......just lately it's been the car!! Keep plodding we'll get there.:)

    Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi V, I know, I did feel a bit guilty about it, but I did go back tonight.:D

Thank you, going to get the saving/emergency fund built up a bit and then see how we go. I've still got this thing in my head that as we borrowed/spent the money I have got to pay if all back....every penny. :o

  • Well as mentioned went to exercise class again tonight.:)

    Up To 5 NSDs.

On the money front, Bcard are sending me a living expenses sheet to fill in. I'm a confused about what to do with this debt. Ask them to transfer to DCA or hold interest and I pay a minimum amount whilst I pay the others off??

Still need to pay 2 lots of sports club subs. The other one we are paying weekly.

DS3 has been staying dinners this week, I'm quite glad really....although not very MSE at least he hasn't had to eat out of a soggy lunchbox (i find the ice pack makes everything wet and soggy), and it has been very warm the last few days.

If you ask them to transfer the debt, they won't - every debt has to follow a set procedure, eventually it will go to a DCA as long as you are paying under a certain % of the debt.

I would fill in the income and expenditure and send it back - did they say why your own one was not good enough?

Hopefully once they have the income and expenditure they will accept the offer and stop the interest.

I do understand how you feel. But if you added it up I expect you'd find you had paid more than you'd borrowed back already due to the high levels of interest.
I can't remember if you've checked whether you paid ppi?
You're doing so well Alice and I'm looking forward to celebrating your dfd asap!

Hi EE, to be honest I didn't offer our own, I didn't even think about that. :o Hope they do stop the interest.

Hi V, I know, it's a crazy way of thinking, and you're right I've no doubt paid loads more back by now.

I've checked ppi on the store card and car loan we had......nothing. I must check the CC's.

  • We've received a letter re reduced interest on our mortgage. The letter did show that our mortgage balance is 49K. That's scary to see it so low.

Must do meter readings this morning. Pegged 3 loads out yesterday, it did rain in the morning but soon dried up and was breezy, by the time I came home it was all dry.:)

Had chippy tea last night, DSs friend stayed for tea, £17 the bill from the chippy was.

OHs car insurance due. Must do comparison.

Footie this morning, early start hence this early diary post.

Hope everybody has a good day.
