I won the BN shoes on eBay, £5.75, a bargain.
OH still having moods, not sure what's wrong. He's arranged for the tree guy to do some of the other trees whilst he is here, so the cost will be £250.
Sunday was a NSD, number 9. Yesterday paid for eBay shoes, got DSs school trousers and polo shirts. Just need to get shoes now. I'm not going to worry about a coat for now, he has a jacket to wear until the weather turns.
The phone is still ringing....a lot. I'm not answering it, but when DS answered and they told him they were looking for OH and that he needed to contact them about money. I told DS it was a scam. It would be obvious to whoever it was that it was a child speaking. It's amazing how much he picked up at young age.
Nearly forgot....the iron is playing up, last night I stood and did all the ironing, about an hour and half, on the last item the iron started to spit out brown steamy liquid. I'm hoping it had just got too hot.

We did have some showers of rain so I washed towels and bedding which are quick to dry and then by the afternoon it was lovely and I did some normal loads.
More washing done yesterday, it was so hot everything was dry so quick - I seem to have a never ending washing basket - DD tidied her room so that made up 2 extra loads and then she had friends round on Monday and after having a water fight they dried themselves off with white towels outside:eek:
Luckily the dirt and marks have come out - why did she not use the coloured towels???
Well done on your bargain shoes!!
I can't believe your creditors are still ringing you - have you had confirmation from anyone yet that the offers have been accepted? I think you were going to send letters again.
I would give it another week and then I would answer the phone to find out who the creditor is and then tell them not to contact at home and you will make a formal complaint if they continue. Then follow up with a complaint to them first of all if it continues and then to Ombudsman if you don't get the outcome you want.0 -
Alice why not just answer the phone? Once you have spoken to one it does get easier I promise and being self managed it is really necessary that you can do this. You can then tell them no calls all communication in writing. I have spoken to all mine, they don't like ringing me now!!!

Hi Both, OH has been answering the phone whilst he's been at home and explaining the situation. Bcard called me 7 times one of the days, I did finally speak to them and told them it wasn't convenient and that I'd call them back. I'm going to call them this morning.
It's when they call me at work I find the hardest.
The Bcard loan has been passed to a DCA. Not sure if this is good or bad? Balance is £850 approx, we paid £81 per month with SC, if I carry on paying this at that amount although it's not the smallest debt it would be paid off the quickest.
We are going to have to pay £400 per month towards DS1 fees. This covers the bit his sponsor used to pay. He does have the money he earnt whilst he was home for the summer but he's using that towards living expenses.
Had to use the little bit of savings I had started to accumulate to pay for the trees. Savings/emergency fund currently stand at £30.01.
NSDs up to 11, had a couple of LSDs though. Kids both ready to go back to school now. £45 DS3 school shoes, there was a pair for £50 thankfully they didn't fit.;)
Me and OH had haircuts yesterday. I just had a dry trim not something I usually do but it did save some pennies.....even though I missed the head massage they do when they condition your hair.....sheer bliss, oh well next time.:)
Today going to catch up on a few jobs this morning then off to an event in the town.

Had a lovely day, got bits done this morning, pegged 2 loads out, went out (spent £5 whilst put), and called into a L1dl whilst we were out. Needed some fresh stuff as I've decided to kick start my healthy eating plan. Spent £26 put that did include some garden shears £8.
Didn't get to call Bcard, on list as a priority tomorrow.
We have up cycled some wood from our neighbours skip. OH going to make some shelving.:D

Well I have called Bcard, it wasn't as bad as I thought. The account has been put on hold for 30 days, they have refunded half of the interest last charged £34. They gave me an option of going on a payment plan, the interest would be 0% but "a marker would be put on my credit rating and may effect my ability to credit in the future".
Surely as my credit rating is shot to pieces anyway, the payment plan wouldn't make any difference....would it?!?
Today was NSD 12. Although I have ordered an item from arg0s for the garden, it's half price and I have £20 of vouchers, so only £12 to pay. Hopefully collect tomorrow or wed so I can include in this months spends as paying on collection. Not very MSE and I already bought the shearers yesterday.:o
My friend is off to c0stco so I've sorted my list for there, should come to £50 but saves approx £20.
Heathy eating day 1 going well so far....:rotfl:

You've got it in one Alice - going on a DMP and defaulting on your debts has already affected your credit rating. I would have thought BCard would be already reporting your DMP so as you say there is no difference!!
I think they want people to think their credit rating has not been affected already and agree to something they cannot afford!!Heathy eating day 1 going well so far....:rotfl:

An ap marker will stay on your credit file for 6 years after the debt is settled. A default falls off 6 years from when placed on your file. To get bc to default you need to pay low, tokens if necessary so they sell to a dca and then it is defaulted. Ap markers are not good and you don't want to prolong the damage to your credit file.

Well done on the healthy eating:rotfl:
Can't imagine the day I'll ever have a good credit rating.
Feel a lot more confident calling the likes of Bcard now.
Healthy eating still going ok...ish. Fell off the wagon a bit tonight have two crackers with cheese....ooops.

That's interesting because only half our debts are with DCAs, we are still dealing directly with the others.
So I would be better not taking the payment plan but make token payments until they pass to a DCA?

Finished on 12NSDs for this month, not bad considering it was the school holidays and I have had time of work.
Need to update spending diary. Just 2 more days childcare to pay then we are done, back to school, back to normal.:rotfl:
Going to be really tight over the next 2 weeks, need to pay sports club subs for DS2 and DS3.
