  • I love the Tesco's triple choc ones :)
  • jaffa cakes, hobnobs, chocolate digestives, cookies, even plain old rich tea........all dunked in a nice cup of tea.........Anyway we haven't got any biscuits at all in the house so I'll just have block them from my mind.:o

We did get some lemonade on the way home so I could have a spritzer or 2 tonight(I know all you wine lovers will be horrified but I'm trying to be good here!!:)) and my OH let the shop charge him 5p for a carrier bag, like he couldn't manage to carry the bottle to the car without!! He said he was too embarrassed to decline the bag. I know its only 5p but sometimes he frustrates me.

We've had such a busy day, most of it spent outside in the fresh air so we are all shattered. Haven't bothered to put heating on tonight (must read meters tomorrow). Will have to go to supermarket to get some fresh bits and pieces tomorrow for lunch boxes but once I have done that I reckon I could do at least 3 NSDs next week, until Thursday anyway (pay childminder on a Thursday but from next week we are paying her monthly so that should help with our budget). I need to find a better way to track my NSDs too. xx

  • I'm not in a very good mood today and I'm not sure why :(.

I've asked OH to call CC company that called last week (the one my MIL answered the phone too) so will hopefully put the calls on hold for a bit.

We also need to apply for a passport for DS2 for a school trip in May. The trip was paid for last year but he does know that this will be his only major school trip.

    Today [STRIKE]should[/STRIKE] will be a NSD. :)

  • Oh dear Alice, sorry to hear that. I am trying to keep upbeat today, but seem to have bills flooding in thick and fast.

Hopefully once the call has been made and they are on board you may feel a bit better.

We need to pay for DD2s school trip soon, she's only going to the i.o.w for 5 days and its £350.00  We went to Majorca for that last year !!

So glad today will be a NSD for you, I wish I could say the same !!!:rotfl:

  • Hello Alice, sorry to hear your feeling a bit down, tomorrows another day and you will probably feel better.

Oh no did MIL get wind of what was going on with the phonecall?

    Hope your okxx

  • Thank you Pinot & Mummy.

Pinot - Sorry to hear about all the bills arriving on your doorstep. :( Our DS2 is going on an 'action packed' week to Belgium - £499 for 10 days, I know he will have a great time and our DS1 did go on a trip nearly every year whilst he was in High School.

Mummy - No thankfully MIL didn't get what was going on with CC company and OH did call them today (thankfully). They do have our DMP on record from when OH called them but apparently they haven't heard anything from CCCS. But they said the calls will stop for 30days.

Payday for me tomorrow, going to tax cars tomorrow too. With car tax and DS2's passport March is going to be another tight month. Think I need to get some stuff on ebay.

Hopefully I'll feel a bit more upbeat tomorrow. Went off track with healthy eating plan as well - had toast and marmalade for tea.:( xx

  • Have just sat down...phew what a day, busy, busy, busy. Whilst tea was cooking I made 3 batches for spag bol sauce for the freezer. :)

Walked to shops in my lunch hour today as we needed some sandwich and freezer bags and there is a 'cheapy' shop in the High Street that sells everything cheap! Only spent £1.50 which is really good for me.

Have checked cupboards to see what meals we can have to take us to Sunday when I'll go shopping. We need a few things like milk, cereal so OH was going out anyway so he's going to go to supermarket armed with a list (and he will stick to it!!!) to get these few things. We are still overspending on food, so really going to knuckle down in March and see if we can bring this food bill down.:o

Still need to go through budget and sort DS2 passport out but going to bed early tonight as I am shattered and I think this is why I've been feeling low recently. Everthing seems so much worse when I'm tired. xx

  • I have just spent 10 minutes taking the washing powder box apart to get the last bit of the washing powder out. OH came into the kitchen to see me wrestling with the box and a large kitchen knife:eek:.

We have decided we need to get our money 'pots' sorted a bit better. It's hair cut time again and there isn't any money in the hair cut pot, and the same for the dog food pot. Although the building society account has about £400 in it, which I find quite a strange feeling. Its been such a long time since we had any money at all 'saved' up.

Will need to get out and about this weekend walking, we had more birthday cake at work today, I've got a whole wardrobe full of clothes if I could just get into them!!! xx
