Still got my 98p but struggling today with not having any money in my purse, I don't need anything or money to buy anything but just feel that need to have some cash. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Two custard doughnut again for me today already ,washed down with far too many cups of coffee.
No Alice, you don't need any cash in your purse if you have nothing you need to buy !! 98p is good, intact I frequently empty my purse of everything in it into my Sealed - ish pot (), so if the children ask for a 50p bag of pick n mix after school then I can't be tempted to give in and let them. They have given up asking now !!

Have put the £10 in the bus money pot for next week, but have still got the 98p.
We had a call this afternoon from one of my OH CCs today whilst my MIL was here (child sitting), so of course we got 20 questions when we got home, even though they never gave anything away to her just asked my OH to call them, she was asking why would they be ringing, is everything OK. The last thing we need is for them to find out we're in trouble..........she can't keep a secret at the best of times.
I also had a letter from one of my CCs reminding me I haven't kept up minimum payments.......yes I know that and so do they as they sent me a letter last week acknowledging the payment they are going to get whilst we are on our DMP.
On the food front not a brilliant tea - spoon full of mash, baked beans and 2 hot dogs.
Off to chill on the sofa with a cuppa........without any biscuits!! xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

That's one of my worst nightmares - family finding out about our debts. I always make sure everything is filed safely out of sight before anyone visits and I've even been thinking about getting a locking cabinet! I'm sure your MIL won't suspect anything though, you can always just say they were trying to sell you insurance or something

LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Debt May 21: Unsecured ZERO! ZILCH! Mortgage £22,3320 -
oh no can you not make an excuse as to why they called? Suspected fraud on the card or something (ive had them ring me in the past for this-although it was actually me who'd gone out and splurged on it oops)
well done on taking the tenner out your purse
I told my mum, dad, & sisters about my situation. I haven't told any extended family. If they were to find out and question me though i'd be quite blunt about it and tell them to butt out and mind their own
I haven't got any biscuits in so i have to have my tea without them too (hope that makes you feel a bit better lol) xxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
