Oh Alice....hope you're OK today. We all have days when we feel overwhelmed by stuff..the big and the small. At least OH admitted he didn't think. Small steps?

You're doing so well. You really are on the final stretch..I know it's been a long road for you but really, look back and see how far you have all come.

Sending you hugs and a glass of wine

Glad you're feeling more positive now Alice.

Assuming DH doesnt always need prescriptions but if he does he could look into one of those pre-payment cards when they can work out loads cheaper xx

Thanks brizzle, I do forget how far we've come. It is a constant two step forward...one back, but I think we're heading the right direction.

Thanks for the hugs and wine.:)

Thanks mummy, fortunately this was just a one-off visit to the doctors for the particular ailment. He'd waited 2 years or so to finally see the doctor, then rushes off the get all three things...straight away! I didn't 'lose it' like I have done in the past so perhaps I'm getting better a dealing with him and he's ways.:o:)

  • Major spends last few days.

Other car had MOT, failed.:o Spent yesterday going to scrap yards to get a part....not a pleasant experience but did save money. Other bits done by garage. Total cost £120.

Need to sort car tax for the other car too.

Got DS3s school shoes £38, school uniform for DS3 £48, school stuff for DS2 £56 plus he needs £39 to take to school next week for tie (only available from school), school trip, and books deposit.

Whilst we were out and about called into a L1dl, spent £41. Still called into sburys yesterday spent £23, and £8 in poundshop.

OH took DS3 and his mate swimming, used voucher out of paper, still cost £10.

Tomorrow we are at a charity event, will take picnic. Max spend £15.

Still need to to pay sports clubs subs 2 x £150, have transferred DS1 £100.

Did meter readings this morning, we are £36 in credit. Works out we have used £26 in 2 weeks.

I know I shouldn't keep checking out DMP as it just prolongs the agony but I did look today. Balance is now £18,650.:D

  • Thanks Verbatim, sometimes its so easy to forget how much we've paid off!:)

Sunday we spent £9 at charity event but have to get petrol £15.

Today we've had a lazy day as I didn't feel 100%, weather has been pants, even got the airers up.

Lost count of NSDs but today was one.

Just realised haven't taxed other car. OH gone into blind panic looking for the paperwork......I'm just chilling on here....oops!!

Need to update spending diary and find some free activities to do this week.

    Xx

P.s. OH gone in a mood over car tax. :(

  • Well done Alice, you are doing so well with paying off your debt :j!

To be fair, I would probably have been in a 'blind panic' about the road tax too :o, not sure what the mood is about though.
  • Yeah I know Dolphin1, perhaps I was being a bit tough on him. I think the mood comes out of frustration. He knew it needed doing but did nothing about it until the last minute. All sorted now, paying monthly £11 something pence.

Today we've delivered some birthday cards, (been fed and watered and DS3 got to play at each house....;)) picked up some milk on way back...so no NSD, and had HM cottage pie for tea. Haven't made it all summer it was delicious.

Pegged 3 loads out today, didn't dry too bad. But have to confess used the TD to finish everything off. have to say the towels felt so luxurious. I forgot what tumble dried towels feel like.:)

Still need to pay sports clubs subs.:o

  • Evening Alice,

Ooopsss to the car tax, assuming you (DH) found the paperwork before it ran out?!

Ive been having to use the TD recently to finish things off as they just seemed a bit damp when bringing them in.

Hope you're all sorted for back to school and work xx

  • Hi mummy, yeah found the paperwork and it was all sorted.:)

It's the first time in ages.....possible years :rotfl: I'd had to use the TD. Looking forward to the 'keep pegging out for as long as I can' challenge.;)

Yesterday we just pottered about, DS3 tried his school trousers on as they were on a few weeks old when he'd finished in July, thankfully they fit OK. Previously the kids always had to have brand new school uniform when they returned to school....even if they didn't need it (I'm embarrassed to say) thankfully I'm at lot more frugal now.

Today I've got DS2s friend coming for tea, just need to get a few bits from supermarket. Will take DS3 to the park on the way.

    Xx
