:T Fab news EE, fingers crossed the higher temperatures last a bit longer.
The iron is broke.:( We have a £10 argoose voucher which I could put towards it.
Today was a NSD (had already sorted DSs bus money out but don't class that as a spend though).
'We' got the renewal date wrong on OHs car insurance. It was yesterday.......oooops. It has automatically renewed and is £3 a month cheaper plus still get t3sco points.

Poor iron - RIP!!
Our iron also had to be replaced recently - as we barely use it, it did not wear out through overuse but instead the dog decided to chew the cord and she would do closer to the iron than the plug otherwise DH could have fixed it.
We only use our iron about once a fortnight (if that) so not sure we really needed one.
I used some vouchers that I had from doing Royal Mail surveys and then only had to put a few £'s towards it.
Hope you manage to get one for £10.0 -
Hi Alice, I read your diary whenever I come on MSE site, you actually keep me on track as you inspire me to lower the heating and peg out where possible. Well the folks the iron is working intermittently. It seems to over heat after about 20mins then switch off. Will hold off replacing it whilst it is still working.
Hedgepog, Thanks for the heads up on the t3sco deal, and your lovely words.
Wednesday had to get petrol. Thursday OH paid his works lottery. Tonight I have been to t3sco as we were over that side of town. Spent £75. We spent -
£6 on cleaning stuff
£4 on women's things
£8 on 24 toilet rolls
£6 on DS2 sock
£4 on cat food
£14 on school shorts, vests and undies for DS3
£6 on cereal - 3 boxes
Rest on other foods, bits and pieces.
Off to sports club in the morning, field in the middle of nowhere, so don't expect any spends!!
Will call and get dog food on way back.
Heating still off, and according to the weather man fab pegging out weather this weekend. Need to do meter readings over weekend.

More spends, yesterday me and OH had haircuts, £25 for me and £8 for OH. Last minute decision, was supposed to go last week but didn't and we are going to a christening today so couldn't really rock the wild look any longer.
we have £25 for drinks afterwards.
Also got dog food and petrol £20 yesterday.
Have done meter readings, 3 weeks since I last did them!! We are minus £24.51 so we have used £15 per week over the last 3 weeks. Payment of £92 due tomorrow.
DS2s bus money ready £15.

Sunday we spent £20 at christening. Yesterday I put some money on DS2s dinner money card. This isn't very MSE but it works, DS is eating better and the food bill has been reduced by the amount I put on the card, so it balances it out really.
Heating still off.:)

Another month, October already.
Yesterday spent £22 in £1 shop, £46 in supermarket, sent £50 to DS, £30 petrol and OH paid his works lottery.
Tonight had a chippy tea £10.
Tomorrow's sport event is about an hours drive. Will take drinks and snacks, try and not spend any money.
Nothing planned tomorrow night. Washing machine on the go ready to put out tomorrow before we go.
DS3 needs new trainers, budget is £20 max.
Feel like we are just bimbling along. Don't want to wish the time away but sometimes I can't help it.:o

Today was our first October NSD.:)
I did feel a bit awkward at the sports event not joining in the drinks in the club house afterwards. We went in but didn't partake. I doubt anybody noticed....it's just me.:o
Came home and got a few jobs done, cut hedge, cut the grass, swept drive and generally tidied up the front on the house. OH wasn't keen but I just ignored his snappiness and carried on regardless. He's come round now.;)
Also ironed the washing that had dried on the line today.
Heating still off. We are starting to wear jumpers/fleeces around the house in the evenings.:D
