    Well done anyway.. :)

We are buying a sooper dooper thermal blind for our bathroom...will see how that goes. Cheaper than replacing the Victorian single glazing I guess! Have to say that there are times I hanker after an eco house...

You have a long tough slog on and your determination is phenomenal! You are so nearly sub £20k. I hope that when you are the numbers will start to tumble really fast.
Have you heard from B'card yet? Removing the interest and late fee will help but should not have been added in the first place.

Thanks Verbatim, I'm trying so hard not to keep logging onto our DMP. I'm going to wait until the end of the month for another update. Going to call Bcard next week, by then they should of received the info from stepchange. The interest alone was £90 odd, that means last months payment means nothing.

Thanks brizzle, just a little blip, back on track now.

Bagpuss mid October isn't bad at all:)

brizzle and mummy, our heating is still off, candles on, still pegging out although using the airing cupboard to full capacity to finish the washing off?

Have been shopping tonight, didn't quite need to but the kids have training tomorrow and we have an early start on Saturday with sports club, and the game is miles away....again, luck of the draw I suppose.

So spends tonight have been -

£20 on football trainers for DS
    £12 in £1 shop
£44 in sburys - inc bday present £12
    £18 in @ldi
    £35 petrol
Also got £40 cash - we are out on Saturday night

also need to pay childcare bill for October, and other car needs petrol.

Hope you've had a nice day out Alice.

Well we cracked and put the heating on for an hour last night. Id not been well Thursday night and I was actually shivering in bed. I couldn't cope anymore, even DH commented on how cold the living room felt so we put it on for an hour. Not had it on since though xx

Hi mummy, I can totally see why you had the heating on. I hope the shivering didn't actually turn into anything more sinister.

  • We've had a busy few days. Yesterday we were out most of the day, didn't spending any money at the sports club, we took food with us.

Pegged 3 loads out before we went.:)

Last night we spent £30 but that did include £5 on the charity auction (won an item that change used as a Christmas present. :) )

Whilst we were out today we called into a table top sale and got a bargain of a chair for DSs bedroom.......it will probably be used as a clothes horse but heyho.:D Spent £3.

Have got bus ticket money, will put DS some dinner money for next week on his card as well.

I noticed that the other car had a patch of 'liquid' underneath it when we came back today. I'd mentioned to OH that that car always smells hot whenever it pulls up on the drive. He hadn't looked at it until I noticed the 'patch' today, anyway turns out it hardly had any water in it and the patch on the drive was water. I suggested we get the torch to have a look. OH sighed and stormed off to get the torch, had a quick look and said it was OK. I could see where there was a damp patch near the bottom of the radiator. I would really like it looked at......just so we know where we stand. OH just sees it as an inconvenience, he wouldn't be the one sorting it out it would be me. ggggrrrr

We haven't had the heating on yet, although it is chilly in here tonight.....think I'll have to go to bed early. :)

Nearly forgot I've had a letter from Bcard confirming I've got until the 11th nov to sort everything out, and they have put a hold on interest and charges. Still need to see if I can get last months interest charge credited (I do hope so).

Must pay childcare this week. Also I need to update spending diary, have been a bit lapse just recently.

Hope everybody has a good week.

  • I haven't been keeping a track of our NSDs this month...to be honest there hasn't been that many. :o

Last night I went to supermarket for a few things, ending up spending £53. Then we ate out, cost £26. Fell off the wagon big time. Went to bed feeling pretty brassed off and guilty.

Woke up this morning feeling more positive. Just a little blip I hope.

Paid childcare, put £20 petrol in the other car (OH having to use car as there is a problem with his bike, not sure how much it going to cost to put right), DS had his bus money yesterday and I have about £4 left in purse. That should pay OHs works lottery this week?

Back on track now. C'mon Alice you can do this.:)

No need to feel guilty, you are in this for the long haul so you need a little treat occasionally.
