  • Welcome Brizzle to our gang:rotfl:

My DS has let the side down, the other afternoon we had gone out and DS was home alone and he felt cold so he put the heating on . He said it was only for an hour and he made sure he did not move the thermostat in case I went mad:eek:. I told him the thermostat was set low anyway so I doubt it even came on - he said his radiator felt slightly warmer and it was fine:rotfl:
You can guess what he was wearing - boxers and a t-shirt. You can guess my reaction:rotfl:

We've been pricing up a mobile for DS2, have looked at deals with EE to include the broadband which means we could cancel sky broadband and telephone (cancelled sky tv ages ago, don't miss it to be fair), he would get more data, wouldn't cost any more than we pay now for his mobile and broadband would work out cheaper. But as we are not supposed to take on anymore debt, this is breaking the rules. Feeling confused about it all.:o

    Xx

When you are under a DMP taking on a new utility contract is not classed as new debt - new debt is a loan, credit card etc so I think you are fine to find a different supplier for phone and broadband.

Thats interesting EE..didnt know that - you are a veritable mine of information :)

Thanks Alice and EE..have held it together so far but we have had the woodburner on twice :o Will be WAH tomorrow. I will probably freeze as will be sitting still all day :( I may have to move down to the front room and light the fire. DD2 has a hot water bottle tonight

Has the summer really gone?? :(

  • Thanks for that information EE. We will have another look at it the weekend. I know a new phone for DS2 is really not a priority in our current financial climate but.....:o

EE I don't think DS switching the heating on for a short while counts.:)

brizzle, I think summer has gone. Today was really dull. I did still peg out and luckily DS was home before it rained to fetch it in. Have got the airers up, but they make the house feel damp.:o

Tonight had to get petrol £20, a few buts of food stuff £23  and DS2 needed some completely black sports socks £5.

OH paying his works lottery tomorrow, I've paid for the whole month in advance.

  • Apart from OH paying his lottery today was a NSD.:)

Everybody I know in RL has put the heating on......certainly not us.:)

Need to write shopping list, might go to @ldi as we need some store cupboard stuff and cleaning stuff and then go to sburys for the other bits.

Nothing social this weekend. Need to sort OHs car insurance, sports clubs subs (must be sorted this weekend), OH needs hair cut....and I do too.

  • Today has turned out a bit spendy. Spent £61 in @ldi, but that did include cleaning stuff, extra cereal (to stock up) and extra mince for batch cooking.

Then went to sburys spent £41, includes chicken, fruit (got veg from @ldi......I know I'm fussy.:o), 2 boxes of hair dye £11, hair stuff £6, shampoo & conditioner £5.

We had a chippy tea £10, I know that seems bizarre....go shopping spend all that money then go to the chip shop. My only defence is that is was late and I was shattered.:o

Tomorrow morning we've got sports club....miles away. Nothing planned for tomorrow night. :)

  • I think my iron is broke. Have done most of the ironing then it just stopped working. Will let it cool down and try again.

Today spent £10 on petrol, DSs match was miles away and wanted to make sure we could get home.

Also spent £10 in club house, did take some snacks but didn't want to appear rude by not having a drink in the bar, also had a go on the football scratch card.

    Have transferred DS1 £50.

I have just about enough cash for DS2s bus money. We can pay his dinner money card online, he is spending approx £3 per day. It does sound a lot, for that he gets a hot meal (which fill him up so they must be quite substantial) dessert, fruit and a drink. He does take a snack and water with him. £15 per week is a lot but I just couldn't fill him up with a packed lunch, or he just wouldn't eat it. :o

HM curry for tea and going to make a cottage pie for tomorrow's lunch.:)

  • We haven't managed to get my hair appointment booked, OHs hair cut or my hair coloured this weekend. Will try and get my hair coloured this coming week....it's such a chore.:o

Today cut the grass, tidied the garden, swept drive etc etc.

Tried iron, thankfully it looks like it is ok. Think it had just overheated.

Paid DSs sports club subs today. Just need to sort OHs car insurance out this week. Hoping the spends will calm down a bit now.

Heating still off, and still pegging out.:D

Hope everybody has a good week.
