  • Woop Woop I've got the day off today. Have pegged out, put some stuff on fleabay, filled the dishwasher....and that's it so far. :)

We had a lovely afternoon on Sunday, had enough food left over for last nights tea. Yesterday was day one of DS3s holiday club (£30). I'm going to get the colour for my hair today, hope they are on offer as I need 2 boxes!!

Trying to keep motivated at the moment. I've got loads of things I could be doing but I just feel like chilling out. Think I'll go and write a list of things that I could be getting on with, see if that gives me the kick up the backside I need.:)

  • I've just logged on to our DMP and our DFD has been put back to January 2019. this will be because I have updated some of the balances and also we have only paid half recently.

But you know it has made me even more determined to get the debt sorted.....just got to get through the summer holidays first.:)

I am sure you'll be fine and get back into 2018 soon...

Juggling holidays is always a struggle. Mine are older now so starting to be OK with being left but they still worry a little so can't really leave all day and DD2's phone is not working reliably so can't always check in when needed.

Keep strong my lovely and keep pegging out! :)

By the way we have a green grocers that has opened nearby, great prices and always open so we are now popping in there if we need things. Eating better and much much cheaper than a SM. Worth trying?

  • I haven't been able to login the past couple days. Every time I clicked on the user name bit the login via Facebook came up. I wonder if it's our laptop as I'm back at work today and have logged in fine.:o

Thanks brizzle, just got to keep plodding. :) Trying to think if there is a green grocers near us. There is a lovely farm shop on the way out of the town but on the other side. should make the effort really!!

Spends this week include £30 petrol, £3 parking at country park, £25 on haircut, £7 in supermarket, £6 card shop, need £5 note to put in one of the cards. Also need to pay our contribution towards birthday present £50.

Today going to lunch with work colleagues, max spend £6. Tomorrow night got a family meal, have budgeted £50.

Stuff on fleabay not doing very well, hoping for a last minute surge.:D

    Better get on.:)

  • Brizzle, talking about looking after the kids in the holidays, we had a discussion at lunchtime and folk were saying there isn't an actual legal age when children can be left....I didn't know that.

I have left DS2 and DS3 on their own but don't like to do it for long periods of time. I always worry about them getting bored and then looking for something mischievous to do.

Spent £6.55 at lunchtime. Friend going to c0stc0 later so have give them £20 to get some bits we need from there.

    Nearly the weekend...25mins to go.:rotfl:

  • No pegging put today....:rotfl:

Looks like will have to get the heated airer out and put on overnight...in July!!

Friend got bits from c0stc0, she spent £19.53. It might seem that I'm being lazy not going with her, but she offered to get the stuff we need and it stops any chance of overspending.:)

Had a lovely time last night at the family meal, we did spend a little over budget, £58. Unfortunately its all about keeping appearances.:o

Have got money for child care this week. We have a DD of £19.19 due tomorrow but I get paid on Tuesday...phew.

Not so good on the ebay stuff.:o

  • Update on the pegging out......managed to get 3 loads dry yesterday. Have got 1 load out today.:)

Spends yesterday were £35 in sburys, £21 in £1 shop (£1 of that was for a scarf....I know not very MSE but I needed cheering up):o. Av0n order was £9, £25 petrol, paid works lottery for the month and £5 for window cleaner. All paid in cash, I've got £1.70 left in my purse nothing social planned for this weekend so hopefully spends will be an absolute minimum.

OH has had a letter from Bcard. They are transferring the debt to PRA Group. I can't remember if this is good or bad?!? He is still being charged a small amount of interest on this debt. It stated that agreed repayments will stay the same for a minimum of six months, wonder what happens after that?

C@p1tal have also sent a letter regarding me breaking the repayment agreement(as we only paid half last month).

Spends coming up next week - £90 child care and DS1 will need £100.

Spends to think about - other car has mot end of August, school uniforms (where needed, not going to buy just for the sake of it, as long as they look smart!).

Not going so well on fleabay. Got an unhappy customer, I can't be bothered to argue, they paid £1.95 for something we paid £55 for which is in excellent condition and they are saying it's not what I described. You could see from the picture what it was...quite clearly. Anyway will credit them for item but not postage, think I'll stick to doing carboots.:(Q

  • OH having his haircut today, and I think that will be the only spend.

Will start counting the NSD days again from tomorrow...new month and all that.

Have just logged onto our DMP, current balance is £19,116. But next month it will be in the 18's:j,

I'm thinking that once the kids are back at school we should tweak the budget so we can pay another £25 and our monthly payment would be £500, and the debt would be paid in 3 years.....but then we've got two small debts which are in the £200's so perhaps we should aim to pay them off first (I know we shouldn't do that on our DMP but!!). Then the time scale would be reduced again.

Anyway it's all pie in the sky at the moment, just got to get through the school holidays, get the kids kitted out for school and the other car through its MOT.

Resisted going to lunch with work today. :)

  • My oh my 1st August already.:)

Today will not be a NSD. We have run out of wash powder (used to threaten to make my own, but never did) and also dishwasher powder (ran out of that a few weeks ago but have done without it).

I know we could do with out the dishwasher powder but for the convenience and we don't have to keep running the water until it becomes hot and then run it to rinse, I think it's more economical to use it anyway.;)

So need to get wash powder and dishwasher stuff, also some cheapy pizzas. There is a 'tidy up the sports club day' today, everybody chipping in to paint, clean, tidy etc so I got nominated to provide some snacks. (Not just me, there are other folk doing their bit...I hope)

Now my dilemma is where to get the stuff from. Do I go across to l1dl or @ldi or see if sburys have anything on offer?? I should of asked my friend to get it from c0stc0 last week, doh!

Need to get cash for shopping and childcare next week. Also need petrol.

Must stop buying biscuits...even as treats....I've just eaten half packet of choc h0bn0bs with my cup of tea whilst typing this post.....it's got to stop Alice!!

  • Today I was going to start on a heathy eating plan.....that has gone straight out of the window.....biscuits and a cup of tea for my breakfast is not a good start. So I've decided no more biscuits in the shopping trolley (even if I think I'm getting a bargain from the £1 shop).

Also no fizzy pop, that seems to have been making more regular appearances in shopping trolley. Unless it's to use as a mixer of course.:)

    Yesterday went shopping spent £59.
But that did include - dishwasher powder, washing powder, kitchen roll, toilet roll, hair stuff for me (sorry can't live without), ladies things (thanks Mother Nature), trainer socks for DS3. That was over a third of the bill, and then I spent nearly £10 on pizzas for the helpers at the sports club.

Now I do not plan on entering a shop of any kind until the end of the week.

Ive updated spending diary/budget and it's going to be close. Roll on a week Thursday. This week and next are the biggest childcare cost weeks (if that makes sense) and it's the first two weeks of the month.:o

Have cashed in fleabay sales, better than nothing but think I might wait and carboot the rest.

    Off to do meter readings.

    Xx

    P.s. Should be NSD 1.:)
