EE yeah we haven't had a really spendy weekend like for ages (not including the tyres!!) and we're well on the way to being sorted for Christmas, which is great.......just got to make sure we don't eat the edible gifts.:D
When my OH was little he used to get lots and lots of presents to open. Not necessarily high value but even things like pjs top and bottom were wrapped separately so there were more things to unwrap. Bless your OH for wanted to make sure your kids don't go through what he went through.
Feel your pain of 'washing a toilet roll tube', a 'putting dirty washing the wash basket' training session is definitely required.:rotfl:
Meter readings done. We have used £48 in 2 weeks (nearly £10 per week extra!!) with having the heating come on for a few hours in the evening. Our DD is £82 per month so will have to keep an eye on that so we're not landed with a massive bill.
Have pegged out today as we have a bit sunshine.:)
Don't think we'll have any spends today. Going to do some tidying up outside...leaves everywhere and a bit of housework and ironing, then watch a film with the kids later.

Absolutely shattered this week, having to work over at work, don't get paid but will be allowed some time off before Christmas so mustn't grumble.
Heating has been off for the last 2 nights. Weather meant to be 'good' tomorrow, so will peg 2 loads out.
OH updated spending diary/ budget last night.......it's great to have him on board.......I think he's genuinely surprised to see how much we pay for things/spend.
Must get quotes for house insurance.
Had a few NSDs too.:)

I don't know if I'm dedicated or just crazy.:rotfl:
Pegged out towels and heavy sweatshirts yesterday. Going to put another load out today. It doesn't dry completely but it does take the edge of it.Hello Alice, am new to MSE but have been reading your diary for a while now.

Well I didn't think it would last very long.....and it didn't ! OH has given up on managing our budget/spending diary. But at least he has seen it and had a go (sort of!!).
We've had a couple of extra little spends on entertainment this week and we went to the chip shop last night which was not budgeted for. I've managed to update the spending diary/budget.......roll on Thursday OHs payday.
Off to sports club this morning, then shopping to pick up some food bits and out tonight which should be fairly cheap as it's at the sports club?;)

My OH is supportive but I'd be upset if he wanted to take over the finances. I love my spreadsheets too much!0

It's a shame it didn't last long but all of us on here know you love a good budget:rotfl:
If it helped DH realise the budget you live to and the cost of things then it has been a success.
I am with black cat - I am not letting DH near by budget book - even before his neuro issue he was a nightmare with money as documented on my diary:rotfl:
Hope you had a cheap Saturday0 -
I am still using pegs, just not on my washing line outside:rotfl:
I have my airer set up in DD's room - we also have a little kitten who thinks that the airer make a great ladder:rotfl: so I have to peg underwear and socks to the airer otherwise there is a trail round the house of socks and pants:rotfl:
It reminds me of when I was little and used to wash my dolly's clothes and then peg them on the wire boundary fence in the back garden :rotfl:
I suppose I could peg outside but I always get carried away and wash loads and then when it doesn't dry I have no where to put it all as the airer is only small and there is only so many door frames to hang clothes from :rotfl:0 -

Lol black cat. Thankfully OH doesn't know where to start with a spreadsheet.Eager_Elephant wrote: »It's a shame it didn't last long but all of us on here know you love a good budget:rotfl:
