  • Spent £52 in sburys, but that did include £8 on casual/lounge trousers for me, £5 on 'women's things' (sorry TMI, I almost can't wait to go through the change!!).

Usual money pots sorted so should have a few more NSDs this month.

OH actually took £30 out with him last night, taxi cost £11 but he did have £12 left. Not sure how he managed that.....OH doesn't know how either!!

This afternoon we went to watch charity football match, spends - £5 entry. No other spends whilst there. Came back had roast chicken dinner, did all the ironing, DS3 bathed and in bed, sandwiches for packed lunches all done, now just chilling on the sofa.:)

Must call tax credit people this week!!

  • I managed 16NSDs in September, which is a record for me.:D

Have been on a course for work for the last 2 days. Being back in the classroom has given me such a headache. Anyway back to work as normal today.......thankfully.

Have updated budget this morning, DS1 needs some money as his sponsor is away and hasn't sent his money over (don't like to keep chasing), transferred £50.

Things will tight over the next 2 weeks.....as normal, but I do feel a bit more in control of things.:)

Pegged 2 loads out this morning.;)

But still need to call about tax credits.:o

Also picked up some fresh stuff and other bits a pieces, £30 in total.

  • Have just logged onto our DMP. Our DFD has now gone back to 2 December 2018 and current balance is £23,330.:(

Wondering could we can increase the payments to £500 after Christmas....not sure where I can claw the money from but just feel very frustrated now. Can't wait til it's all paid.

  • So sorry the amount has gone up :(

Do you ever get any spare money from bonuses or anywhere? Perhaps you could offer a few f&f's ? I know you aren't supposed to on a dmp with stepchange but I did :o and they didn't say anything. I just rang them up after doing so and told them the balances were now zero. They were our smallest debts to be fair, all less than £500 but were also our highest apr ones and they hadn't reduced them very much even being on the dmp. It made me feel like I was getting somewhere with less creditors and also a little less debt.

The weather has been fantastic for drying clothes hasn't it! I'm amazed with how quick things are drying in our usually dark garden :T long may it continue :)

  • Hi DFW, I don't foresee any bonuses coming in...unfortunately. A couple of our debts are only in the hundreds so would be great to get rid of them. Obviously on the DMP everybody is paid 'equally' so we'll be paying these smaller amounts over the same time as the bigger debts.

I am still in the mind set that I've had the money and spent it, therefore I should pay it back....in full!!:(

Maybe after Christmas I could take a bit more control back and over pay the smaller debts?? Or as you say offer f&fs?? Or even query if some of the debts are enforceable!

I would like more control over paying the debts back, but could I be trusted and would I keep control?? I've taken the easier option over the last 2 years perhaps it's time I stepped out of my comfort zone?? Something to think about.

  • What?!? It's raining, so no pegging out this morning. It is supposed to brighten up this afternoon...fingers crossed.

Last night got petrol and picked up a bag of giant chocolate buttons (on offer £1, not that that makes it any better!), me and DS3 ate them all on the way home, we both felt quite rebellious but it was good to have a laugh even if I did feel a bit sick.:rotfl:

It was the first Friday of the month which is normally chippy tea but had some sausages to use up, so had sausage, chips and beans for tea, clean plates all round. :)

Off to kids sports clubs, a bit of travelling but should keep other spends to a minimum.
