My gas DD has gone up too ..not sure why..lodger taking showers :o Honestly :rotfl: But seriously, I do hate that upwards creep

Our DD came down so it looks like the amount we are paying is spot on for the summer but doesn't leave anything in reserve for the higher winter months. We are due a bill on the 17th of this month so we'll see what that says. No doubt the DD will go back up.:o

What's your lodger like eh! ;)

DFW I'm a bit obsessed with the meter readings, do them every 2 weeks. £81 doesn't sound too bad to me, suppose it depends if you are in credit or not though.

Yes definitely need to get a new tin opener :D. OH found one in the camping stuff, it's a prehistoric thing that just hacks around the edge of the tin.......thankfully haven't not had to use it yet!!:rotfl:

  • Yesterday was NSD4.:)

Last night I did all the ironing, vac'd all round and generally tidied up. Need to clean bathroom/shower tonight and sort through pile of paperwork that is spreading along the kitchen work top........where does it all come from??

I was hoping that after a very busy weekend and doing the jobs last night (didn't watch any tv) I'd have a better night sleep....but no.:o

    Watch out another grumpy day.:rotfl:

  • Tuesday was another NSD, number 5.:)

Yesterday we paid for swimming, picked up some bread and bananas. The account was practically empty then, but OHs payday today. So now we can get back on track after all these mammoth spends.

Will need to pay back the money to in-laws, I'm going to put a bit aside each week and aim to pay it back by end of October.

Today need to pay childcare and lottery, and need more petrol.

The car is back in the garage first thing, another knocking noise, different to before.:o

Need to do meal plan/shopping list. No social events this weekend...phew.

Washing done and ready for pegging put. I'm helping in the sports club first thing tomorrow, maybe a free bacon sandwich in it.;)

  • Hi Alice, you are sounding very organised, sorry to hear the car is back in the garage :( boo.
  • Hi Alice, you are sounding very organised, sorry to hear the car is back in the garage :( boo.

    It's organised chaos pwps. ;)

The car cost £26, that was just labour plus vat.....only to be told they can't find what is causing the knocking noise but it's not anything 'serious'.:(

This afternoon has been really spendy, more petrol £25, £43 in @sda (it has been ages since I've been in @sda), £11 in cheapy shop and £45 in sburys. Have had to buy toiletries, cleaning stuff, more schools shirts for DS2 (he only had 4 and I just want to make sure he's got one for each day of the week). Also bought some beer for OH. I'm going to have a proper look at the receipts and work out exactly how much was spent on food.

Must have been in sburys at the right time, got loads of reduced meat.:)

DS wanted to spend money on some xbox points, I think I've managed to get him to see sense and save his money. Don't want to spoil his fun but don't want him to waste his money either.

Nearly forgot we also got a new tin opener.......fingers crossed this lasts a bit longer..

  • :rotfl: I know brizzle, we're just not safe are we.:D

I've broken down the receipts and we spent, £8 on beer, £10 on clothes, £6 pet stuff, £15 on toiletries/cleaning stuff inc new tin opener!! and £60 on food.....so it doesn't look as bad as I thought. We really over spent on food in August so trying hard to stick the the budget now.:)

Have spent £70 on petrol in 2 weeks.

Still on 6 NSDs and after updating the spends/budget we will have a few more this week. Got bus money and leisure pot money sorted and my purse still has some money in it. :D Also must update my 20p and £2 pots.

No washing out today as got it all dried yesterday. The kids have just done their homework and are now doing their bedrooms, OH is supervising. I'm going to tackle the ironing and that will leave the afternoon free.:)

  • Just when I think we're back on the straight and narrow........today we received a letter saying we owe £350 tax credits as we've been over paid. It's taken over 3 months for them to decide that. I'm not even sure which period that is from.......I will check and if necessary pay them back £2 per week.

Anyway yesterday was NSD7 and today was NSD8. :)
