Thanks Granny, i know it's tough going when you're in a job that you don't like. If he could just sit it out for a bit longer......like a few yearsxx

Thanks pwps, yes it's all heading in the right direction......not as quick as I'd like but we didn't get into this situation overnight so it won't be sorted overnight!!

Well I could quite easily meet myself coming back this week......if you know what I mean! The kids have had so much going on at school and their sports clubs it's been crazy this week. Unfortunately I took my eye off the 'money ball' and we went down to pence in the account, but not overdrawn, phew!
Tonight I've been to @ldi - £29, and sburys £48, the sburys shop did include shampoo, conditioner and hair serum for my hair, that was just over £10, it is my only treat and I just can't tame my hair without.
Really need to update spending diary/budget. Need to get petrol (should of got it tonight), we said we put towards part of DS's travels, the car goes for repair next week and DS2s summer sports subs need paying.
Also need to get 2 birthday presents, one for a child and one for an older lady who has everything!
Must get organised.

Having a lovely chilled out day. Have done some housework and pegged out......of course.:D. Also updated spending diary/budget. I've been saying this over the last few months but we really need to get a grip and stick to the budget.
We've run out of wash powder, this 100 wash box has lasted since beginning of January (I think, need to check diary). There is a 'warehouse type' place that sells the big boxes really cheap so will go over there later and pick one up. Also they do 2litres of nice squash for £1 (nearly £3 in supermarket) and the kids only have it really weak, just enough to colour the water, will get 2 bottles whilst I'm there.......I know I should have a go at making own wash powder/liquid and I know the kids could just drink water but you know.;):o
Have updated 20p pot - now upto £48.40 and £2 coin pot upto £50. Really need to get a move on with these pots, just never seem to have any change.:o
Hope everybody is having a great day.

Ended up spending a bit more at the 'warehouse shop' this afternoon......even though my previous post said we must get a grip of our spending.:(
We got some trellis, and they were selling off small greenhouse type things (basically some shelving with a plastic zipped bag over :rotfl:), they started at £39.99 and we paid £4.00.:D OHs work colleague had offered us some tomato, cucumber and beet root etc etc OH checked if the offer was still there whilst we were in the store, he's dropping a selection off to tomorrow. Mmmm just hope we can actually grow them now.
Also got the wash powder and soda crystals.
The oil level warning light keeps coming on in our car even though the oil level is OK. Can't wait for it to have its mot and service just for piece of mind.:o
Sports club have sent a text chasing cricket subs for DS, must get them paid.

Hi Alice
Sorry haven't checked in for a while..RL seems kinda busy. So So relieved that OH's job is safe. Brilliant. Just wish he would see about another one, but you can't really do that for him, can you?
We are also trying to rein in the spends. Summer will be tricky cash flow wise and we are going on holiday at the end of May so need to be careful...not sure that we are being careful enough though
OH prepping Sunday lunch and I am reading the paper and planning a trip to the allotment . Am sure you will get those small plants growing well and with pick and come again plants for salad it's great not to have to buy any. The joy of small things...You? Any plans for today?

Aww brizzle don't apologise, I can see from your diary you've got all sorts going on in RL. Best of luck with your new venture job wise. OH knows what he needs to do to get a new job just needs to get on with it

That's exactly like I feel, we're doing OKish but could do a lot lot better.

Plants arrived, mini greenhouse up, Just got to wait and see.......oh and water them :rotfl:
Today has been a chilled out day, bit of ironing, did the meter readings, we have only used £4 over 2 weeks!?! That doesn't sound right but that's what it worked out to. In debit by £49 something. We are due a bill on 18 June so I'm sure everything will be revealed.
Have eaten...and drank all sorts over the weekend so going to start afresh tomorrow and eat properly.
