Hi Alice I hope you have some good weather for your days off
Have you looked at TCB (topcashback) for deals on breakdown? I usually go through them (sometimes quidc0 will do good deals too) and I think I spent around £40 on the last policy for a homestart one. Might be worth a look, sometimes it's cheaper to cancel and get a new deal through the same company (unsure how that works but it does!!)
Might be worth checking for the pet insurance too, they are often on the cashback sites xxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Yeah I'll have a look for both, thanks DFW. The pet insurance would give me double nectar points too......but trying to limit what I spend at sburys (trying to use @ldi as much as I can!) so won't be worth much.:o

Spending continued this afternoon. The window cleaner came- £10 and then OH needed a prescription dispensed £8.05:eek:
I am determined to get our paperwork sorted once and for all (especially after I bought the folders this morning!). We have 6 pensions between us, none of them worth anything really.:(
We've got receipts and guarantees for items we had over 15years ago. Instructions for kids toys from the same time. Having a real good sort out.;)

Rain has stopped play
, typical as I went to the hairdressers this morning......a lovely treat.:). I promised to take DS3 to the park on the way back but it was (and still is) raining, so that was the end of that. He's went on the games console for an hour as a treat, he hasn't been on it all week.:)
Have finished sorting all the paperwork, have got a separate file with all our 'debt' in. Just need to contact one of the cc companies for an update (can't remember which one!). Found another life insurance policy I'd forgotten about too.
Looked at deals for the AA cover on the cash back sites, it stated only valid if we've not had a renewal in the last 6 weeks.:(
DS2 is back today, so the fridge/cupboards will be empty and the washbasket over flowing, hope he's had a great time.

Yesterday we went to the park in town, they were having an activities afternoon, all free. So we parked at the out of town shops (free parking) and walked back to the town centre. I didn't take any drinks so of course everybody was thirsty so ended up going to the £1shop and getting drinks and snacks from there -£3.
We walked back to the car, and called in to sburys, spent £22 but that did include pizza for tea. Also they were selling the southern fried chicken fillets off the hot counter for 40p each(originally £1.50 each ),chicken with jacket potato - that sorted DD3s tea out as he doesn't like pizza.
Have sorted money for next week out, DS2s bus money, DS3s milk money, OH needs £10 for colleagues sponsored skydive, emptied all 5p, 20ps and coppers into their respective pots and that leaves me with 2 x 10ps.:rotfl::o
Payday tomorrow, will be glad when April's over, looking forward to May. Need to think about car MOT and service (June but need to plan ahead)
Still only had 8NSDs!!

Hi Alice
Just a thought but we use our Tesco club card points to buy our RAC membership each year so in a way it doesn't cost us anything
Keep up the good work you are doing really well
