Where do you live Alice?? Bring all that washing round to ours..the blooming thing is always on..can't make a big difference doing yours as well :rotfl:

If it is bust do try a tearful plea on freecycle..you just never know your luck. We gave away ( pre LBM 2) a perfect working under bench freezer..which I now want back! We got a TD instead which now I never use as kids well out of cloth nappies ( one is 11 and one is 8!) and now we have an allotment too I lust after that freezer! Sad eh??! ;)

And the TD doesn't work :rotfl:

  • brizzledfw -thank you for your offer, sounds like you are in training for the washing and ironing Olympics too.:)

debtfreewannabe321 - yeah your right, I have just got to go with the flow regarding our DMP. I'm sure it will all come right in the end :(

The washing machine man came and had a look, put the machine on to spin and guess what.......yes it ran like clockwork, no excessive noise or shaking. He said it could be a problem with the drum when it is loaded, so try not to overload (which I am always careful to avoid) and see how it goes.

My OH has also got a problem with his washer motor on his car, it needs replacing but this he can fix once we get the part. I've found one on ebay for £9 plus P&P so will get him to check it's the right one first.

Haven't had to chance to update spending diary today but did go to cash point and it looks like we were down to £2.62 today before OHs wages went in. That's my only grumble with our new Coop account, it take a few days to update. Must always keep spending diary updated. xx

    Hi

We are smile ( so co-op) customers and we can use the automated telephone line to get an instant balance as well as on Internet. Not sure about your account but could you get a real time balance on the phone? Agree it's essential for financial management..if its not available that's a real pity. Send me a PM and I will tell them to add this as a feature..if enough of us do it they will respond..

  • Thanks brizzle, I totally forgot about being able to use the telephone banking service. :o

I went food shopping this morning (with my list) and spend £86.27 which does sound a lot compared to what my OH had been spending but we had run out of a lot of store cupboard stuff, and some of the toiletries we use were half price so I stocked up on them too. This should last us 2 weeks with just a top-up of fresh things next week end.

We are going to watch my nephew play football this afternoon which will be £8 for us all to get in. So apart from bus money for the kids next week (which I put the full weeks money in a pot and they take it out each day, technically then I can then have NSDs) I should be able to have a few NSDs until Thursday (which is childminer payday).

The sun is out so I've put the towels and jeans on the line to blow for a bit. Haven't used the TD for ages.:)

Hope everybody has a great weekend. xx

    Hello Alice,

£86 doesnt sound too bad for a big shop. I will be doing ours next weekend once ive been paid. I love the cupboards, fridge and freezer being full to bursting :D.

I also love pegging out, but my rotary airer died after 5 years service last summer, so I need to buy a new one. Going to go for a retractable washing line this time though, might last longer.
    Hope the washing dries xx

  • i've banned myself from using the tumble drier like i usually do (every wash!!!) and only use it now if it's heavy stuff like towels that take forever to dry in my house! even then i've made myself hang them out to dry after they've only had 40 mins in the drier- I'm hoping i see a difference on my electricity bill now after all this effort lol

    have a great weekend :)

  • and now the third thing has broke........the laptop charger has just gone up in smoke (the wires had twisted OH had already fixed it once!!) so will make this post quick. LOL. Will search for replacement (ebay perhaps) when at work tomorrow.

I'm going to get on with housework this morning, washing already pegged out. Taking DS3 to a party this afternoon, so will catch up with ironing tonight.

Should be a NSD today, weight loss this week 2lb. xx

I got one on Amazon - after buying a really expensive one at Currys that lasted just a few months  Annoyingly, I had lost the receipt, so didn't feel I could return it.

The Amazon one was less than a third the price, and has already lasted longer. It was about £14 I seem to remember, and bought from a company that just do these leads, ie it was not direct from Amazon itself. It was delivered within 2 days, so good service as well.
