brizzle - I know what you mean. Even if I had cash in my purse I used to still use my card......not anymore!!!
Mummy - What we like eh?? I have taped the inside of the shoe so hopefully it should hold for a couple of months.
After we all played out in the snow today and had had lunch we all blitzed the house. The kids were very helpful, now everywhere is sooo neat and tidy, and we got 2 bags of stuff for the recycling bin. I've just got tackle the ironing

Hi Alice
I've just read your whole diary! You are doing SO well :T
Loads of things i read reminded me of myself, like the wasteful food shopping. In fact when i had my LBM and did my first meal plan, i had enough food for a whole week near enough and my shop was £27 inc delivery that week! Lol. (I found 32 fish fingers in the freezer  My DS's don't even like them that much!)
And
I have 2 DS's
I have an ostrich for a OH  (getting better though)
My work shoes have just given out too
Well done on Christmas without any extra debt :T (feels like ages ago!)
I really hope your last few creditors accept the DMP. The quicker they realise their choices are limited (they can request all the £2500 cheques they like!), the better. I've actually come to think that when approached by one of these debt charitys they shouldn't be allowed to refuse point blank, it doesn't help anyone after all.
I will subscribe and keep up with how your doing if thats ok.
Oh, and we didn't get any snow!

Just catching up!
lol@ the shoes! I've done this before  more than onceI hate shoe shopping (i know that's not normal from a woman is it haha) so do anything i can to save the ones i have found that i love!
The snow was welcomed here too by the kids.........until they went out in it :rotfl:ds2 lasted 15 mins and DD lasted about 40 mins.....before both were back inside and glued to the radiator :rotfl:
I've had a few of those letters requesting i pay the full balance on debts immediately. oh ok then, cos i was only kidding about being poor you know, just fancied trashing my credit file for the fun of it *doh*
We've just had our first account passed to a debt collection agency.....took them a year :rotfl:i see it as a good thing as they were still charging interest and playing silly b*****rs with threatening letters each & every month!

natdjay - No snow
, mind you I'm fed up of it now!! I surprise myself sometimes which how savvy I've become with the food shopping......still having the occasional blip
.
dfw321 - In the past when I found a pair of shoes I really like I have been known to buy 2 pairs. Not now though.Great news on your first debt being passed the the collection agency. Can't wait until ours are all sorted.
Our DS1 told us today that his friend has just been given 10K to buy a car for his 18th Birthday. Now the older 2 boys do know that money is tight and to be fair they've been really good about it (as long as they still have their sport and there is food in the fridge they are usually happy). My son does have a part time job whilst he's a college and he is really good with his money. We are helping as much as we can with his driving lessons but we sure have not got 10K in the bank and even if we had I'm just not sure we would give it to him just like that. Oh well we haven't so I won't worry about it.:o

wow 10K!!!!!!!!!!
I think even if i did have the money i wouldn't hand it over just like that!
My dad bought my first car and he could have afforded a new one but told me he wasn't going to waste it as i'd have the car crashed within 2 years......he wasn't wrong (just like to point out it wasn't my fault though) When ds1 is old enough i will be sending him out to earn the money himself
it will certainly teach him the value of money and he'll have more respect for the car if he's had to earn it!

Well thats my £2 gone, I forgot I had sponsored somebody at work so had to pay up today. I used to always put a minimum of £5 down for collections/sponsor etc but it was just getting too much. So now I just put £2 or £3 depending on what its for. I can't pull out of these things all together our DMP is a secret.:o
Also it looks like one of our bank accounts has been overlooked. We have received a payup or else letter today. This letter was different to the one we received the other day for the other account. I have logged into our DMP and this account isn't on there. OH has said he will call CCCS tomorrow to check......hope he does call them.:(

Hi Alice,
Just catching up on your diary of the last few days. Sorry your £2 has gone, our DMP is a secret also, a very big secret, and I have doen the same as you, dropped our sponsorships down tot he £2 / £3 mark, just to keep up appearances really !:o
I hope that the outcome from CCCS if OH has a chance to call them is positive.
