  • Oh dfw sorry to hear about the chickenpox. Hope everybody is recovered in time for half-term.

I did put the heat on later this afternoon, now the house is nice and cosy.

We had a LSD today - had to buy a new toilet seat £9.50. It was a necessity!! so not a NSD today but still got my £1.

Hi Alice, just popped by to check on your goings-on. You're doing so well. I just re-read the first couple of pages of your diary to refresh my memory (I read a LOT of diaries!) and you sound so positive and optimistic now compared to your earlier entries - brilliant in just four months! Keep it up! x
LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

  • Well done on still hanging onto that £1 Alice !!

How on earth did you refrain from putting the heating on until the afternoon, I have been bundled up as it is but still with the heating on ! I am dreading the next bill :(

Well done on the NSD's and the LSD's, but yes I agree the toilet seat was a necessity ! Mr Pinot stood on the lid of DD1's toilet to change a light bulb and managed to crack it in half in April last year . it took us until December to replace it, so we wrapped the whole toilet seat and put it under the Xmas Tree for her with a big bow on !! :D

  • My £1 has gone :( so has the £10 I got from the cashpoint.

    £3.55 on birthday cards x 7
    £4.99 birthday gift
    £0.60 on wrapping paper x 2 sheets
£0.85 for a ham salad roll for lunch (I know I should of got something from home but.........)
    Total spent - £9.99
So I am back to a £1 (and a penny) but it's not quite my original pound if you see what I mean.

Pinot - how funny to have a toilet seat under a Christmas Tree, I bet your DD did appreciate it.:)

HappyNow - Thank you. I haven't got to the stage where I can go back and read my earlier posts, I do know I did have some very dark days at the start of my diary :o

I have got meals planned for tonight and tomorrow, not sure about the rest of the week. Freezer looking pretty empty but need to defrost it before I do another shop so we could be having some strange concoctions for tea for the rest of the week. xx
