I have ordered charger (it is a necessity) it cost £14 so not too bad. Have managed to sneak on here at work but won't have time to catch up on everyones diaries. Hope everybody is OK. Laptop charger on it's way.....yay
should be here tomorrow.
Getting a second opinion on the washing machine this afternoon, fingers crossed again.
Apart from purchasing the charger haven't spent any other money for 3 days. Must add up my NDSs this month.
Also have been very good on my 'diet' so hopefully another few lbs this week.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

I'm back in communication with the outside world.....Yay. Laptop charger has arrived, phew that was a quiet and lonely few days. Missed you guys, hope everybody is well and will catch up with everybodys diaries as soon aa I can. Did manage to sneak on a few times at work. (naughty, naughty)
On the money front.......Ive kept my spending diary upto date and it's bang on with the bank account so that's great.
Have over spent on petrol this month, so much running around after the kids etc and we have cut back an awful lot so hopefully it will even out over the next few months.
Food budget OK, direct debits just about all sorted to go out of account next month on the usual day.
Both cars need taxing at the end of Feb so that's a challenge to get enough money together for that as it will only be the 2nd month on our DMP.
With regards to DMP, Bcard (CC & loan) still not wanting to play ball, neither is the bank (currently charging us £25 per day!!!) and MBNA still digging their heels in. But I'm quite chilled about it...I think.
Not sure I'll make a total of 7lb weigh loss for January, had a fairly good week but haven't done much exercise, I'm just so tired this week and it seems all I've done is sit and watch TV once the kids have gone to bed......get work out of the way tomorrow and then fresh start at the weekend.
The washing machine saga continues, had a 2nd opinion and apparently its the 'dampers' have worn out. Can have a proper look for replacements now we've got the laptop back up and running.
Pay day tomorrow....not that we have any spare money but you knowxx

Well perhaps the laptop charger wasn't such a bargain after all. Apparently its not compatible with our laptop because its not a genuine Dell charger its not charging the battery although the laptop is still running OK and the battery charge is not going down. Will have to see how it goes.:(
How found parts for washing machine -£18 so will order and OH will be able to fit them.
Still need to get back on track with the NDS. Had to get dog and cat food today, but did use a 10% off voucher. Have put £25 petrol in my car and that has got to last until next Friday. Went to supermarket and topped up fresh stuff. So a bit of a major spend day but I wouldn't say its wasted money (as I would of done 4months ago!!).
Going to watch the boys play football tomorrow morning, hope it's not raining or bitterly cold. Need to catch up with housework too. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

That is funny - my £14 Amazon one works fine on my Dell machine. I couldn't actually find a Dell one, or I would probably have gone for that, as when I looked into it, it does seem to be a bit of a minefield. I looked at the feedback on some of the products on Amazon, and one seemed to have an alarming tendency to overheat :eek: Needless to say I didn't buy that one!
However, the one I got is fine. If yours isn't suitable, I expect you could return it, or ring or email the supplier for advice? The company that supplied mine would be up for this I would think judging from the helpful tone of the invoice. Certainly worth asking!0 -
Thanks Dawn, I'll drop them an email and see what they say.
Didn't make football today, DS3 feeling under the weather. He's had one these colds that just will not go away so we stayed in and spent most of the morning having a cuddle on the sofa. How could I resist his little poorly face when he said "will you sit with me please Mom".
He perked up a little this afternoon so I have caught up with housework, just need to do ironing tomorrow.
Have worked out spends for the week, got boys bus fare ready, cars have got petrol, food in the cupboards/fridge so hopefully will have a few NSDs this week.
Coming to the end of the first month on our DMP and feeling a bit in limbo, can't wait for CCs and bank to be sorted but I don't seem to be letting it stress me out as much (I still have the odd moment here and there).
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17

Morning Alice,
Poor DS, hope hes feeling a little bit better today.
Im glad you are all organised for the week ahead and are feeling a bit less stressed the money situation. Things will be even better as the time goes on xxMummytogirls x0 -
Thank you for your post mummytogirls.
DS seems better today, he's got a hacking cough now so he's had some medicine which will hopefully help him have a good nights sleep and he will be well enough for school tomorrow.
Had a NDS today. Have got our meals planned for the week in my head (must write them down asap).xx
