  • DS3 went to school in his trainers today, he thinks it's great. Have always bought cl@rks shoes for the kids, think he's got too many weeks until the summer break to get away with a cheaper pair. Cl@rks shoes have always lasted really well, and unfortunately there aren't any cl@rks outlets round here.

DS2 had non school uniform tomorrow and no jeans/chinos to wear so a quick dash to sburys got a pair for £14. Better than t0pman etc they wanted £30+ for the same thing.

Also got hair conditioner that was on offer and some bday and Mother's Day cards. Total spend there was £10.

Got petrol and some cash (for the weekend, childminder and money for bday).

    Nearly the weekend.:)

  • Thanks brizzle, I'm trying to guide the kids into being savvy shoppers too ;)

Today we spent £4.00 at the kids sports club, £28 in sburys, £30 petrol. Off to a christening tomorrow, over 90mins away so extra spends on petrol but worth it to see family. Will take £20 for drinks but will take kids drinks and some snacks.

We did put the heating on tonight for a couple of hours, first time in ages (must do meter readings before we go to tomorrow!) as OH was freezing. Mind you he is still sleeping in a sweatshirt.:o

  • Have had a lovely but expensive day. :(

It was lovely to see everybody at the christening, but after we went for a meal (which we knew nothing about and there was no way our £20 was going to cover it). We now have £39 left in the bank and a DD coming out on Wednesday and I will need to get petrol before OHs payday on Thursday. Only hope my 'calculations' are right...gulp!

Also noticed we need a new tyre on the car.

Did meter readings before we went but the laptop crashed just as the page came up with how much in credit we are and I missed it.:o

Feeling exhausted, this keeping up appearances has worn me out today.

    Roll on payday! Xx

  • Really must tally up NSDs, today was one but tomorrow need petrol and bread. Think we are down to £14 until Thursday, don't think we've ever been this 'poor' whilst on our DMP, normal service will be resumed soon.:o

Need to think about Mother's Day gifts, and got a 21st and 2 other birthdays coming up.

DS3 had a major meltdown this morning.......reason........I'd cut his sandwiches into 4 squares and 'nobody has 4 square sandwiches at school' apparently. He only had to say, thought we'd seen the last of these meltdowns.
