  • I've not got anything for Mother's Day! I have been in to town, to a1di and other shops and totally forgot about it till getting home so I need to do a quick trip out and grab some cards to send off! We've had 3 birthdays this month too, I have a nice quiet month with April though so am happy about that ;)

  • Have received a statement for the Bcard loan, current balance £2699, paying £72 per month.

OHs payday today..yippee..feels strange having money in the bank. Will be glad to see the back of March. The leisure pot is empty too, and DS3s swimming payment is due next week. I'm hoping we can get back on track now.

Today I've paid child care, got petrol, paid lottery, picked up some bits from supermarket. Must get back to proper meal planning and budgeting!!

I couldn't wait any longer.....I've done the meter readings again this morning and we are £166 in credit.:) mind you it has been freezing in the house the last few evenings and I have set the timer for the heating to come on later, as we have damp washing on the airers. DS2 is under strict instruction to turn the heating off when he come in from school later if it warms up.

    Have a great Friday!

I think we're going to leave it. Last year they gave it us back June time, just in time for the cars MOT and extra work it needed. It really needs a proper service when it has it's mot this year so will putout any money we get back towards that.

Hope you have a great weekend too. Happy Mothers Day. Xx

Thanks mummy, all that freezing and dithering has paid off :rotfl: Happy Mothers Day. Xx

Tonight we had chippy tea for the first time in ages. Have done meal plan and shopping list for tomorrow. Weather should be nice so will get some pegging out done too. Off to kids sports clubs in the morning and still need to get something for Mother's Day for my Mum and mother-in-law........just can't think of anything....apart from flowers.:o

    Xx

P.s. The house was so lovely and warm when I got in from work, I felt quite guilty. Anyway back to wrapping up warm and grin and bear it, today was a one off, fingers crossed some warmer weather is on its way.:)

  • Yesterday we did a whole shop in m0rris0ns.....big mistake.....it cost a fortune. We only went there because we had gift card for £15 (A guy OH works with gave it him!). I felt really disappointed, I don't really think we saved anything at all!

Then ended up in sburys anyway to get Mother's Day gifts (a lovely top each, got some really nice clothes in at the mo). Went to £1 shop and spent £12 this did include my Mother's Day chocolates;). Also spent £14 on some essential bits for DS2s school trip.

Last night we went to see a band play at the sports club, wasn't planned but it was OHs mates band and OH wanted to support them. Spent £8, the band were really good but OH always abandons me and goes off talking to his mates, it's not a problem to go and have a catch up but not the whole night.:o

Have updated budget/spend diary for March, we have spent £230 on petrol, £384 on groceries (but that does include the 'big' shop yesterday and the odd non food item I've forgotten to take off receipt).

NSDs are upto 11, need to improve on that in April

Have pegged out this morning......love it :rotfl:

We've got both sets of parents coming for lunch so off to prepare. Happy Mothers Day, hope everybody has got some sunshine.:). Xx

  • Thank heavens that's the end of March! Really haven't enjoyed it at all. Feeling hopeful of a fresh start tomorrow, just got to get through the morning of 1st April jokes.:)

Had a lovely dinner yesterday with both sets of folks. Managed to get round the talk of holidays and new windows! I hate not telling the truth.:(

Window cleaner came today, keeping up appearances and all that. OH put £10 in the other car. He also got a new shower attachment from A1di, not in the budget but an essential. But then he did lose a £2 coin from the change, shame as he was so chuffed he'd got one for the pot but couldn't find it when he got home.

Should of had a hot and steamy date with the ironing board to night but just not in mood.;)

    C'mon April....bring it on.

Lol brizzle, I did have to do it tonight though, kids and OH needed their respective uniforms ironing. All done now.:)

Made a cottage pie for tea (peeled the potatoes this morning) and had left over crumble from Sunday....delicious.

Today was NSD 1, this month is going to be a big challenge, council tax and water rates payments start again. Need extra childcare for Easter hols and DS needs spending money for school trip...gulp!

Also had loads of collections at work, even one for the bosses wedding anniversary! £17 I owe now.
