• Called into sburys this morning......no school trousers in the colour and size that DS3 needs and they can't order them in for me. :( Will check out M&S and A3da. Did pick up toilet roll and cat food whilst I was there, spent £3.99.

OH was off today so he took some clothes to the recycling place, got nearly £5 (£4.73 :)). He also took a bag of wires that had been hanging around untouched for years and got 10p........yep a full 10p :rotfl:

That little 10p has put a smile on my face this afternoon.....every little bit helps, hehehe.

• More spends yesterday! Took DS2 football training last night (£3 subs out of pot, we have to pay £25 signing on fee at the end of the month, then it's £5 per week.) He had some friends stay over so called in to sburys (again!) and got pizzas for their tea and snacks as they have gone to the theme park today. He did just about save enough money for his ticket so I gave him his bus fare.

Also got bread, milk and cereal etc spent £25 and got petrol £20.

Going to out of town shopping centre tonight to try and get DS3 trousers.

Need to pay childminder today, OH has paid his works lottery and also need to top up the 'leisure' pot.

I must update spending diary/budget tonight!!

• It's taken me 2 hours to get the laptop to fire up.

Still haven't updated spending diary.:(

Today DS2 is going to play cricket, an away game so we've very cheekily asked if he could have a lift. :o

We're going to nip into town to get DS3s school shoes. Also need a new pair of secateurs, I'm off work next week for few days and really need to sort the garden out.

Have fallen off the heathly eating wagon this week. Daren't get on the scales. House is a tip, still haven't done a meal plan, so really need to pull my finger out and get sorted. I know I shouldn't wish the time away but I almost can't wait til the kids are back at school, the car has had its MOT so we know where we stand with the finances and things are back to normal.......whatever normal is.:)

Hope everybody has a good day.xx

• I'm with you on the back to school thing, need some order and structure back in my life ;)
• Even more so after today PWPS..........can you put husbands on freecycle???

We've spend all day together and we've been shopping...not a good combination. OH has been in what I can only describe as a 'mardi' today. His mates have gone to the football with their season passes and I think he's feeling cheesed off.

Got DS3s school shoes £35 (and DS3 was so well behaved :)), went to £1 shop spent £12, got gardening stuff £14, had lunch in sburys cafe (trying to appease OH) and then went food shopping in sburys, £66 of which £57 was food, the other was cider, toilet rolls, socks and cleaning stuff I had a voucher for which made it cheaper than the £1 shop.

Came home only to find the freezer door had been left ajar by a mystery person! Will have to adjust my meal plan now.

We needed a new door mat so called into The R@ange on the way home and spent £10ish, a new mat and some tongs (OHs request).

I'm going to chill out tonight and then tomorrow going to start again...a new me. When we were in sburys I saw a women a few years older than me, very attractive, dressed smart casual, hair looking fab, she just looked so lovely........you know when you look at yourself and wish you'd straightend your hair and made more of an effort. Perhaps this is another LBM for me as far as 'me' is concerned.:o

A rambling post tonight sorry....and I haven't even started on the cider yet!;)

Hi Alice so know what you mean about the making bit more of an effort - there are days I go to bed and realise I haven't brushed my hair since I got up:eek: the joy of long hair quickly scrapped into some ponytail arrangement ;)

I'm waiting to get ds1&2 in bed then I'm cracking open the cider too -

Have a nice sat night
