Thanks pwps, DRF321, mummy and brizzle. We received a letter today the review people advising ' they have reviewed the information provided and do not need to amend our reward'.
But the letter from the tax credit people states we have been over paid and our payments will stop now (the £9 odd we had the other day was our last payment 2013/2014).
So are the review people saying yes we have been overpaid or that DS1s college course was on the approved list so the payments were right.....................tried to call them tonight, spent 55minutes on hold, then a message to say they close at 8.00pm.
Anyway on the money front today was a NSD (no. 3). Tomorrow we take DS1 to the airport, not looking forward to it but they have to fly the nest at some time.:(
Meal plan has gone out of the window this week and so has my healthy eating plan. Came home tonight and had a cup of tea and half a packet of bisuits....whats that all about.

I think the review people are confirming DS1's college course was approved so you won't have been overpaid since he started but the Overpayment might be since he finished or to do with your income.
You won't get through to Tax Credits this week because people who have not renewed have had their money stopped and now they are all panic ringing and renewing so they can have their money :rotfl:
I called yesterday and managed to get through in 25 minutes - not for me but for a client and when I said we wanted to renew the guy was going mad, saying they should have renewed earlier etc - Doh, I know that and told the clients that, them repeating it doesnt help:rotfl:0 -
Hope it gets a definitive reply soon Alice, seems sound advice/observation EE!
Hope journey for DS goes well..huge adventure!
At least you will be able to always think that you helped him and a lack of finance did not trample on his opportunities or dreams

Thank you for all the well wishes for DS1. I cried like a baby at the airport yesterday, I'd been OK up until it was time for him to go through to departures. He's sent a message to say he's arrived OK and I've cried reading that........must pull myself together!!!
On the money front, thanks for your post EE. We have been overpaid by £350 and are not entitled to anything else until our review next year. Not sure how we pay that back???:(
Although I'm not happy we owe them at least we are sorted now.
Also had the car tax reminder and because we are using DS1s car that needs taxing as well, £68 and £148 to pay at the end of this month, and DS1s car needs an MOT as well. DS1 has left some money to sort his car out (bless him) but we said we'd keep it running as we do need the use of a 2nd car (although OH still bikes to work).
Dogs injections are also due.
Yesterday was a spend day. Petrol £50, we had food at the airport before DS went, and although I took a packed lunch for the journey home when we stopped for a break we brought more drinks.
We called into the town on the way home and picked up kids school uniform bits that they needed£121, (just need to get DS3s school trousers from sburys and then shoes). Have let DS2s trousers down from last year so he'll get another 6 months out of them and he has enough shirts in good condition so I didn't buy any more (although I struggle with him not going back to school in brand new uniform.......sad I know).
Went to the butchers spent £12ish and DS3 had his hair cut. Then they had football training, everybody shattered so had a chippy tea.
Had my bcard bill this morning, currently £8027 so this months payment will take it below £8K! Currently paying £110 per month.
Need to get back on track and rein the spending back in.
Hope everybody has a good weekend. Have been reading diaries but not had time to post. xxDMP with CCCS started Jan12 £34,906 Jan13 £31,893 Jan14 £26,836 Jan15 £21,894 Jan16 £16,839 Jan17 £14,415 Jan19 £12,938ish Jan19 £9,649 Jan20 £6612 Feb 21 0 Self managed from Jan'17
