was such a relief when he finally did leave
My two younger ones have had new uniforms as DD outgrew hers and DS2 is just starting school but DS1 told me his shirts still fit him and i'm going to try and re-heel and sole his school shoes but i think they may be too worn down
they were £60 nearly so not cheap either!

Tried to reply yesterday but keep getting blocked!!
If you award for this year is the family element only - £10 pw or less then they are allowed to take the whole award to pay back the Overpayment. If it does not clear it the same happens next year and so on until it has been cleared.
If you are no longer entitled you get an invoice and have to make an arrangement to pay.
By the sounds of it - because you have to renew next year you do have an award but it will be used to pay back the Overpayment.0 -

Hi mummy, depending on how he gets on with his studies can be upto 4 or 5 years. At the moment he is really struggling with feeling homesick so it might only be a week at this rate, I'm sure he'll be fine once he's settled (fingers crossed!).

OH has had a rather large mobile bill. Apparently he has been sending photo messages (no actual photo) instead of normal text messages.....by mistake apparently ........and as he sends an awful lot with his sports clubs etc the bill is £41 (DD came out of the bank today).
Called into the Coop on way home, spent £31.
Can't wait til OHs payday on Thursday, currently have £35 left in account to last until then. Don't need to buy anything just want to see the account looking a bit healthier.;)

Alice, thank you - I've spent the past couple of days reading your diary, what a journey you've been on! I'm so impressed with your handle on the family finances & how much you achieve! I hope your DS settles in the U.S. soon - does he know when he is next home?
Next month, it'll be 5 years (60 months) until you're debt free, yahoo! You should make a wee chart and mark the weeks off, might help with the motivation & low days.
My Aldi is cRap for f&v too.
And on a lighter note, I can't believe how many tin openers you've got though in a year and a few months - I think I've bought one in ten years! Ha ha!!!
