Glad to hear things are progressing Taxi .... good luck with WW - it's a fab regime and I love the fact you can eat anything as long as you count it in your points!
I managed to lose just over 1 1/2 stone last summer .... unfortunately now all wiped out by putting on over 2 1/2 stone with the drugs I've been having to have  but hoping to get back to it again when I'm better too!:)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!0 -
Wow Taxi, going back to WW sounds like a big step. It says a lot that you are feeling up to it. Just be kind to yourself. Your body has been through a hell of a lot, and it has done you proud. There's no big rush to change it. As someone once said, baby steps.I'm a Money and Debt Adviser for a homelessness and housing charity in Scotland. I love WWs because it's not faddy and I was losing well on it at one point...lost 4 1/2 st but am now still 2 st lighter then when I first started.
It's a new start so I'm not going to think about what I've put back on and just look forward to getting rid of all this weight which is loads..nearly 10st to go0 -
Well done, taxi, on going back to WW. It must have taken some courage given all you've been going through so you have my total admiration.:A.
Could I be nosy and ask how long it took you to lose the 4 and a half stone you mention you lost before your cancer? I've been on a diet since mid August mainly because OH needed to lose a lot of weight because of a medical problem he has. Thought it easier if we both went on it as less temptation for him if there was no 'fattening' food in the fridge! It was a diet of my own concoction loosely based on the Scarsdale Diet (loads of protein, fruit and veg) and we've never felt hungry. OH lost over 2 stones since mid August(he fell off the wagon big time over Christmas and New Year:eek: or he would have lost more) and I've lost just over 3 stones myself. I could certainly do with it and feel so much more energetic than I have for years. It seems like we've been on this diet for ages and I'm beginning to crave cheese which is my absolute downfall as once I start i could stuff myself with it non-stop. Simplest way is to never have any in the house:(.
Wondered whether WW was the way to go for him now but he has refused point blank at getting weighed in front of a lot of women:o. I don't need to lose much more myself now but keeping it off will be the problem for me.0 -

Yesterday,DD and I went shopping going to a butchers at a garden centre. What a great place that was,it sold all sorts of stuff it was like a supermarket..the fruit and veg and cakes..well everything looked scrummy..but didn't have time to look around properly as it wasn't far off closing time so will be going for another trip there this time allowing plenty of time to look around0 -
Well done on getting out and about Taxi. Weight Watchers suited you last time you went - didn't you go out on an evening with them at one stage? Just go and enjoy the company - losing weight will be a bonus.January spends - £587.580
