Meeting with MHT went well. She has filled in a form for some dept or other to come to the house to assess my needs for aids to help me with bathing etc.She also mentioned me applying for DLA again so I have given in and rung up and ordered the forms.
I've also tried to phone the CAB to see how long I need to wait for an appointment for help to fill them in but can't get through to them.
She has also left me some details about a card making group so am going to phone them too.

Card making sounds quite fun. Sun is trying to come out too. Feels a bit more springlike today. Sounds like you could get some much needed help now too. Hugs taxi and hope youre taking it easy.

    thanks Beanie x
The reason I ordered the forms rather than download them is because if they are sent out they count from that day.
Slept from 2pm-11pm so guess I'll be up all night now..sigh

guess I am a bit down Karma..think it may be because I can't put this cancer stuff to bed yet but not sure really.
I've brought the bin back in and cleaned the sink and toilet in the bathroom..can't clean the bath as my back aches if I try to do that so will have to wait for DD to help with that.
Am going to wash pots and put the washing in shortly and make a brew.I have to pace myself.
Taxi honey, I'm sure that thats whats really going on, that normal stuff like bad weather can really get you down. It means that what energy you have, you're using it inside the house, so I'm glad you're pacing yourself. I have to do that even though its just arthritis I have to cope with.

That sounds good - I remember various aids turning up at our house over the years - my grandad was blind, and he had a braille watch, for instance, on permanent loan. And things like raised toilet seats when my mum broke her leg, that enabled her to use the loo on her own.

Card making sounds brilliant - and there's a big community on here somewhere too, I'll bet.

Good thinking! And sympathies on the sleeplessness - I was awake for so long last night, I got up and had a cup of tea and some golf biscuits :( nice biccies :) and that was only because I had cheese late at night, I think.

Just had phone call from breast cancer nurse saying that they've all agreed with radiotherapy so have brought my appointment forward to next friday with the oncologist instead of the 27th.I'm happy with that
  • That is good news, and also, that's an excellent tip about ordering the forms rather than downloading them. That may well be useful to some of the clients I see at work, thanks!

    Good news about the radiotherapy.

Card making can be an amazing hobby - I used to do a lot but only do it occasionally now. There were a lot of groups near here a few years ago but they seem to have closed and the only ones are during the day when I'm at work. I did a dead easy horseshoe out of ribbon for my dd wedding - it looked really good but was quite simple to do.

Hope the appointment goes well next week.
