Ooh- congrats to DD!
We've got DD's speech day tonight and she has a prize - but I've prepared cottage pie for dinner - just about quick and easy enough to scarf down beforehand
I saw Lucy about a month ago - not a bad film. I saw it by myself - all 6 of us went but watched 3 different films all on at the same time and no one else wanted to see Lucy. I enjoyed it but the reviews I read were very mixed.
Have a lovely evening

Morning, off to the gym shortly :T
DD presentation went well and really recognised the huge achievements inside and outside of school. Happy parents.
Pay day :j:j:j
Money shuffles completed I'm waiting for Mr Ts payday now
All in all a good end to the week.
Best wishes to all parents seeing their loved ones leave home
We went to see Lucy - seemed quite reminiscent of The Matrix - we all enjoyed it but I looked away during the gruesome bits :rotfl:
I'm typing this whilst listen to the birds chattering outside. The weather is a delight and long may it continue. The start of the spring was so slow, we need this late summer
Money news - I have a £4 of ? Send in L!dl - I can't recall but think its £40. That will buy everything needed for next week.
Next weekend Mr T will be decorating and I will be batch cooking.

Morning, D day is here. DD is leaving for Uni and cars are packed up. We need to walk the hounds and I'll collect DD from work and head off.
I'm hoping my diary will return to MFW after that :rotfl:
A quick update on the money front - I did a L!dl shop yesterday. Everything for the week purchased plus 4 x 2 packs of rib eye steak for the freezer. Stupidly though, I froze the packs forgetting that there will be 3 of us - I should have split the packs. What I will do is cut a pack in half as the steaks don't touch. Only stuff on the list bought
Today will be a spendy day but that's what savings are for :T

I was repeating that like a mantra when I was paying for the redecoration and the potential outlay for the boiler fixing and now repointing.
And if I had not found you fantastic people, I would not have had a 6-month Emergency fund which absorbed the pain.
