  • Lovely update re: DD and cute cat. It sounds like you've been so productive as well! Very impressive x
    Debt remaining: :(
    Mortgage - £117,759 (£134,600, Nov 2013)

Work overpayment and home improvement loan paid back (£19200)

  • Have visions of Ernst Stavro Blofeld stroking his cat...... (James Bond villain)
  • Morning, dogs and cats are all wanting more cuddles at the moment. Hopefully they will calm down soon. It doesn't help that the upstairs of the house is a tip as rooms are emptied for decorating. The animals are so sensitive to disruption :o

Right, back to money £4.89 TCB OP to mortgage. Another £70+ waiting to move to payable and £90+ in the queue. As this trickles through it will all be OPd.

    PC and YG surveys completed.

Dinner this evening - salmon, new potatoes and salady thing (using up bits and bobs).

Off out on Friday night and Mr T is decorating over the weekend. DS and I are off to visit mum and drop remaining bits off with DD.

It's cold and damp this morning - DS is asking when the heating will go on :rotfl: Bear in mind he's saying that whilst wearing a T shirt :eek:

Mr T set off early this morning but will be home tonight and he has an early start tomorrow. It's a bit odd having him home each evening but this week is a one off.

I hope everyone has a good day and we all seem some sun :)

    Best wishes Tilly

  • Good morning. Thursday already

I dropped Mr T off at the railway station bright and early. He's having an adventure up north today :).

Dinner this evening is HM Thai chicken curry, with rice. Tomorrow is going to need a quick meal and probably will make soup.

There's definitely a chill in the house in the mornings and come 1 October the heating will be on in the mornings. It still seems mild at night and I will put off the night time heating for as long as possible.

YG survey completed, PC bombed out. 17p Tilly Tidied to mortgage.

Life feels good at the moment. Once the upstairs decorating is finished we can get out on our bikes again. I'm not sure we could train the dogs to run on a lead as we cycle but it would be great if we could. May give it a try.

DD has to come home late October for a couple of appointments and we are looking forward to her seeing her new room. Handing over her room to DS seemed a huge thing to do (not sure I would have )

I need a quick shop in C@sco for squash and loo rolls - yep loo rolls again. Will go on my own to guarantee quick in and out :rotfl:

That's all for now, I'm typing this with the sun streaming through the window - blinding but pretty darn good in late September.

    Best wishes Tilly x

  • I need loo rolls, it's shocking how many we get through. Started buying cheaper ones for the main bathroom as I think dd2 uses a roll a wee. ..

  • Nooooo - it can't be heating time yet. I'm hanging on to Summer for as long as I can... although a bit of frost might be the saving for my pak choi.

Coal being used on the woodburner stove here. We've still to actually make the wood pile into logs (leaving it a bit late I fear).
Anyway just posting really to say how in awe I am of your DD. Handing over her room, planning a beef stew, just so very impressive. You've raised a star there Tilly. Well done :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
