I hope all goes well with Miss T today and there are not too many Tilly Tears :T.
:):)
She's in a lovely place, sharing with a group of girls. It's been a long old day but we are home, she's in her new home and next chapter has started.
It felt right as we left her and she's making a beef casserole in the slow cooker tomorrow :T
I'm off to make a cup of tea and I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow.
Thanks everyone for posting, I really do appreciate it.

I need to pick the last few off today and I've checked the website - many thanks for thinking of me. I've also got blueberries to pick and freeze - or make muffins with (and freeze).

She has found a church that's she's trying next weekend. I suggested she tried a few to see where she feels at home. Thanks for posting

Sounds like she is going to be just fine.
Still can't believe she is university age, I think I forget that people's children grow too and I always think of them at the age they were when I first 'met' them.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Morning, the first Monday without DD living at home. There have been no tears yet and DDs bedroom is empty and paintwork rubbed down. Mr T is going to start painting it next weekend. Given the last few weeks have been focused on DD, it's good to give DS more attention.
I am typing this one handed as one of my cats, who is missing DD, wants me to love her.
Yesterday - what did we accomplish:
Our bedroom and bathroom spring (autumn) cleaned, all the furniture moved out and vacuum/dusted, bathroom floor mopped.
DDs room emptied and everything sorted to transfer to her new room, once decorated. She is quite happy to change rooms and it is with her blessing - we aren't throwing her out of her home. DS is going to miss her a lot.
The TV room was cleaned from top to bottom - there's nothing in there that hasn't been cleaned. Furniture moved out and floors mopped. Looks great.
All the washing and ironing done - everything dried on the line. I have a small pile of stuff for DD which we will drop off when we next visit mum.
My jobs this week - clean the dining room and conservatory (top to bottom). Clean the kitchen, breakfast room and utility. I thought I'd tackle these over two nights. Plant some cyclamens. Find some curtains for DS room.
We all felt if DD was starting her new chapter, we should too and the house felt a little neglected.
It has been a very spendy few days - the hatches are well and truly battened down now.
Dinner tonight is sausages/onion gravy with mash and green veg.
Tomorrow is HM pizza
Mr T is not away this week, although he will have a couple of long days. I've booked in for a couple of classes at the gym, plus have scheduled two trips just for a workout, then have two PT sessions.
Mr T and I will walk the dogs during a gap today as we are both WFH. Lunch will be beans on toast.
TCB - just under £5 claimed and will OP once it hits the account.
Mr T, DS and I are working through the Die Hard films on DVD - haven't seen them for years, 1 and 2 done, looking forward to the next one.
Definitely need to crack on - lazy morning so far but given how hard we've worked this weekend, it's well deserved.

So glad DD is safely settled and you're all Ok Tilly ... sounds like you've been working flat out all weekend! Sometimes a big change gives you an energy you don't quite know what to do with, so it seems like yours has gone in a very positive direction.
I've noted the return of the birdsong and spring birds too, do miss it when it's not there, we've had the tits, sparrows and robin all playing around the bird feeders again. Where do they all disappear to for those few weeks at the height of the summer?
Happy WFH day with Mr. T, what a lovely way to start the working week, enjoy! xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Aawwww at the kitty - I remember once my parents (when I was still doing my A-levels, mind) deciding to redecorate my room as a "surprise"... then they got bored half way through so I had to sleep in my study for weeks!!!
